Originally you had to use traps since you never had enough ammo. Bullets where mostly useless and traps where the way to go

Using your flashlight helps since then you'll actually see what the fuck you're doing. No idea why they switched them off as soon as they were in actual combat. You use road flares and flare guns to give yourself breathing room (i.e. he can be scared off with them. I imagine the fireworks were meant to be used for that). Also, I've seen people play when he had more like 400-500 health iirc so they've probably just fucked the settings as well.

whilst this is entertaining Bigfoot appears to be EXTREMELY bullet-spongey. So it'll probably get boring after a while simply because BigFoot is too tough and there are no other win conditions (ie. to escape, collect various things).

You bois need to get back in there and do 'im. As a tip, he can be stunned/scared with fireworks, flare gun hits, and road flares. I've also never seen him attack in broad daylight, so that's the time you want to be looting. Nighttime you should be in full hunt mode. Also, I remember traps being very good in the old version, you can probably figure out the places he visits with cameras and lay traps in those areas (with bait in them).

It defo needs a bit of a nerf, maybe if it was more cunning it wouldn't need to have so much health, like climbing trees, throwing stones, and sneaking on all fours, as is you'd just have to camp some sort of trapped funnel and shoot straight at all game. The bears and wolves feel a little BS too, like they'd even be hanging out near that monster, and it's pretty indicative of the balancing that they also eat so many bullets

As other people are saying I think you gotta play this game smart. I saw theres things like radios etc you can use to draw his attention, you probably need to use those to draw him into ambushes with traps, explosives, and just shooting him. Engaging him randomly probably isn't going to work. Would be nice if he was somewhat less tanky though.

Yeah. I can take the sponginess of him, but then he can go and regen most of the damage you just put on him? That's the worst bit. You do about 10% damage on him and then he regens 7% after he runs away from you.

There has to be some really big weapons other then the AMV that you can find. Surly your not supposed to beat Bigfoot with peashooters. (also just to be safe, I am not mad. I just don't get why he would have so much health and not add a weapon that deals alot of damage to him) This isn't a darksouls game! I am really loving this!
