I was going to try this and a face cream from City Beauty last year so looked up the company and found alot of bad reviews,some about how the products did nothing,and quite a few complaints about customer service, so I didn't end up ordering.I trust your judgment enough to try the lip gloss and see how it goes but I have 1 question:Is it long-wearing? I have been ordering from them for maybe 8 or 9 years and always had fast shipping and great customer service. Yes it is long wearing. It's not like other lipglosses that are gone in 20 minutes. It's not necessarily sticky but it is thick and it stays put. Even when I use it at night, it's still in my lips when I wake up in the morning. So that's why I love it as skincare for my lips. They have a great return policy too. I would just try a sheer color 1st so you can try it out and then if you love it, then try other shades. I have it on now and I mixed one of the bright opaque shades with a sheer one so I like to make my own perfect color. Hope that helps.

I bought the pink one and at first I was really pleased because it did make my lips appear thicker and more plump, but then I was super disappointed coz it only lasted less than an hour! My lips simply went back to normal after about 40, 45 minutes. And since it’s really costly, I’m not gonna keep reapplying every hour! Oh well, you live, you learn! I guess I’m going back to Pout Bomb by Revolution which lasts longer and it’s way cheaper. Problem with that one - it’s really pigmented, more like a glossy lipstick so you can’t wear your favorite lipstick on top of it. Still, if you find a good color, there’s no reason to layer a lipstick on top.🤷🏻‍♀️

Oh no. Sorry it didn't work for you. You actually get results the longer you use it. They say it takes about 2 months. I do get immediate plumping when I apply it, but yes that does fade once the lip gloss fades. BUT with continued use, then the lips will just remain a bit fuller even without the product on. But it needs to be used 2x a day for about 2 months to get those type of results.

Hmmm let's see, I have Hyaluronic Acid from the Ordinary $7 (Cdn - so less expensive in the US), as well as their Buffet (peptides) for $18.00 (Cdn). Both can be used all over face, neck and lips.Then can apply my fav lipstick and top with Liquid Crystal from Skin Actives ($15 US) which gives a high gloss, iridescent finish and locks in moisture. Can also be used on the face, but I particularly love using it under my eye concealer because it's amazing for eliminating creases and cakeyness and staying put (I'm 60). So for basically the same price as one lipstick, the ingredients listed above will give you the same effect, plus a much more product with a wider use.

Great idea. Thanks so much for sharing your wonderful tips! Skincare won't give the same plumping effect on the lips though. But at least the skin on your lips will be super healthy. I put my skincare on my lips as well but this is specifically for plumping the lips. Works totally different. But definitely never feel pressured to buy anything I share. I only share what works best for me. Unfortunately some of my faves are a little pricey. But I do share lots of super affordable products.

Yes I have both of those, I don't "love" Tokyo Kiss alone. I like it as a lip topper over a lipstick with color but it's a little too "milky" looking if that makes sense on it's own. If you want to slightly lighten a lipstick and add the gloss and plumping then it's great for that But by itself, it isn't flattering at all on me. Los Angelips is more of a sheer gloss. You really don't notice the sheer pink in it but it's still a fave because it has a slight sheen to it and reflects the light more than clear gloss. If you want something that is kinda sheer but with a bit more color, Sun Diego is stunning . It is a peachy pink with a gold sheen and looks beautiful by itself or as a topper. Hope that helps. But even if I get a shade I don't love, what I do is, I use it at night before I go to bed, as a part of my skincare routine.😘

Honestly I never match my liners to the lip product properly. LOL There are a couple I have from Maybelline that look really pretty with it but I forget the shade names. But the one I normally wear with it is my Estee Lauder liner in the shade Brick, then I blend it with a lip brush. Totally different shade but it seems to look pretty with it.

Sherri, my complexion is brown. I m just undecided between Plum springs or Dusty rose or Spice Which one u suggest ?

Hmmm what lip colors do you normally wear? If I saw your face then I could tell what would look best on you. I don't like any of those shades on me. But I don't look good in brownish shades. They are all really pretty colors, just not on my yellow skin tone. Dusty Rose is more of a brownish eggplant with a hint of rose (it looks identical to the swatch, not like what is on the lip model on the website...if that makes sense). The model's lips makes it look more mauve and it isn't. Spice is a lighter beige nude. Nice if you wear dark eye makeup. Plum Springs has a pretty shimmer (not glitter just s light shimmer) and looks sorta of plummy brown. Plum Springs is probably my favorite out of those 3 and it can easily be applied without a mirror. The other 2 need a mirror since they are more opaque shades. Hope that helps a bit.

Thank you! I actually never go out. I'm a big nerd. If we go out, it's usually during the day and I am NOT glamorous. I'm always in flip flops t-shirts and jeans...and usually a baseball hat. LOL If you follow me on Instagram I share when we travel and more personal things like that. We were just in South America for 3 months so I posted quite a bit on Instagram. I will be starting a travel channel soon as well and will share more on that channel as well.

When I look in the mirror the only thing I see is smokers lines (didn't smoke...but cancer patient that's always dehydrated) I can't afford filler so I will try this....I'm 59.

If you apply it over your lipstick does it have less effect?

No, they say to apply this 1st before another lip product but I often just put it as a topper over a different lip product and it still gives me the same plumping and smoothing effect. I also like to put the clear on at bedtime or I put it on during my morning skincare. As long as I leave it on at least 10 - 15 minutes, I can then wipe it off and put on a completely different lip product.

Panagiota Patty I have a friend who puts the clear on first while she is doing her other make up. She then blots it off and uses whatever. She said it plumps her lips just by doing that. I have been wanting to try it.

They don't have these sales that often. I feel bad because I forgot to tell you all when they had the last BOGO sale. City Beauty actually told me about this sale a few days BEFORE the sale this time and gave me the special discount link but I wan't allowed to give it out till the sale started yesterday. I'm thinking they will tell me again next time and I will do my best to let you all know. Maybe not another one till Christmas??? This sale ends tomorrow.
