I think Green Tangbe has to be the biggest apple farm in Nepal. It is really huge. It is located at Tangbe, Mustang in between Kagbeni and Chussang. Looking from a distant it looks like airport runway. Agro Manang Bhartang farm is the biggest "High Density apple farm" , but not the real "apple trees" farm. But I think Green Tangbe has bigger area. Plus there are many community apple tree farms that are really huge in Marpha-Mustang area which you will see when you are traveling to Lo Manthang. Difference is that the apple farms in Mustang plant trees which takes time to grow at least 5 years for the fruit to get ready. These tree plantation are how it has always been in this region. Where as the Manang apple plantation are different - these plants are called "high density apple" They were genetically modified in Italy and Serbia through tissue culture and other technologies and they grow much faster compared to the apple trees.
