Another good thing that I do is that I look at the pitchers feet because with a righty if they turn they're throwing over but if they lift off then they have to go to the plate (if you're at first) but a lefty when they lift their leg you kinda have to see if they commit to the plate but unless they slide step you can usually read it easily

I’m a big base stealer myself! Great video great stuff! But I disagree with one thing. Lead too the front of first not the back. Reason being is because with optical illusion you can sneak in another step lead towards the front. You appear closer too the pitcher when at the front rather then the back. Sliding towards the back corner from the front isn’t that hard too do.

Can't wait to show this video to my son when he gets back from school. He's constantly guilty of looking around while running and loses speed.

Hopefully this video really helps him! It's always important to know where the ball is, but in this particular instance when the hitter should be taking the pitch, it does nothing but slow you down. Appreciate the continued support!

Agreed with you coach Justin. base stealing really needs some kinda mentality to succeed. 🤗

Especially when just now Coach Justin you mentioned in 9:22, if I'm too far away from my previous base, I have to brave myself up, and head for the next base, without hesitation I guess 😅 This is great, worry doesn't help at all, how true 🤗😂

Wow.What insight. Take a big lead, but not toooooo big or you will get picked off. You spend 2 minutes on that one obvious part of base stealing. So I quit watching.
