I’ve gotta give you props you are the first person I’ve seen catch a fish on that Jig and trust me I’ve tried to find videos of people catching any type of fish on them.

I have my PB for length at 23 inches on a magnum mauler thrown to the only stump within a hundred yards in 5 feet of water... from shore. In june at 1300 hours. So i guess thats a good time to throw big baits???

I knew that monster would work but was just as surprised as you were when it got bit😂😂. High R up river and back of abbots in the cypress trees would be a good place to try that thing out.

Maybe it's made for the ledge fishing lakes like people do with mop jigs that's why it has a lighter weed gaurd who knows

I fish magnum baits products almost exclusively all as jig trailers an tie my own big jigs.. the hook an weed gaurds are both impractical on that thing

I noticed your fish on the big jig you were swimming it back to the boat when it hit. I'd put a big swim bait on it and slow roll it. Like you would a muskey bait.

Put some shrink tubing on the lower quart of that weed gaurd it will stiffin it up Or some good old super glue at the base of the weed gaurd Should do the trick for that big jig

They should’ve custom made a better weed guard for that jig instead of just putting a regular one on it, it should be a lot stiffer and a lot longer so people can cut it the length they want it, but they just stuck a regular weed guard from a regular jig on a jig they took time to make big.

Double the guards (each side) and a bit stiffer, so the "drag-over roll" doesn't get ya hung -- don't think it'd matter to the fish really, it's big and ugly anyway. Makes ya think -- what the hell is in the water anyway that'd a fish/bass says .... ohh yeah, I remember those --- umm- hummm, that right there is tasty!?! Let's Goooooooo Be Safe
