Apricots and Pluerries! And at the end of the video, I share from my heart what I truly believe is the greatest benefit to growing your own fruit trees! ❤ Comment here what fruit trees *you* grow - or want to grow! There's always room for more! 😎

You really did cut that apricot tree back. I'm sure glad it worked. I planted a Babcock peach three years ago the last year of the drought, it really struggled so I never got fruit the second year, but this year I'm happy to say its got 25 to 30 peaches. I'm so excited it is my favorite peach. Happy Gardening.

So happy your peach tree made it and you're getting fruit now! 👏👏👏 I love fresh peaches, but also peach jam and peach syrup! 🧡🧡🧡 Oh, and Peach Cobbler!!!

It seems to me that my plans for fruit trees this year were three cherry trees and two plum trees. I later decided to add two apple trees. That wasn't good enough. Family and relatives sent more trees for me to add to my orchard. I now have a North Star cherry, Lapins cherry, Stella cherry, AU Rosa plum, yellow/gold plum, Honeycisp apple, Fuji apple, Prarie Fire crabapple, two peach trees, and a Meyers Lemon tree. I now have livestock too, five ladies, three Rhode Island Red chicks, and two Spotted Sussex chicks. From the looks of their development, they are about one week old.

Yay for chickens, Jay! I've loved having a flock ever since I got my first chicks eight years ago. 😊 And yes, one fruit tree leads to another... which leads to another... and another... and so on. 😎 Can't wait to hear how your trees do in the coming years!

Thank you! Glad you enjoyed the video! 😎What's so great is that it's very easy to grow fruit trees, even in containers, and you can start slowly and gradually make your dreams a reality. 😊

Thank you, Karen! I love wooden earrings, and these are lightweight and one of my favorite colors. 😊 Jim is slowly recovering. Tuesday marks 2wks since the accident, and he sees the orthopedist that day - hopefully, we'll hear good news! 😁

At least you get the sun and warm weather to ripen the fruit.
@OliveCityOasis4 ай бұрын
Yes, we definitely get plenty of sunlight and heat here! Never need to worry about that! 😂 I think it's wonderful though that almost *any* area of the world can grow some kind of fruit trees. So many amazing types of fruit and so many varieties of each kind. 😁 Just takes a bit of research to find the right varieties of fruit for a specific climate! 😎

Over 160 trees!!!! That's so amazing! My husband loves apricots, I'm hoping to plant a couple of trees on the new property! Apricot jam sounds delicious!! Wow! The pluary tree is so amazing! Aww! What a blessing!! I can hear the crunch as you chew 😊

@@juanisgarden5356 I guess I do have that many trees when I count the olive orchard! 😊 Actually, I need to do an official recount because I just added a few new trees yesterday. 😎 2 Moro Blood Oranges! Yay!!! 🍊🍊

Oh wow! Can you really walk away from all that beauty? Are you still thinking about moving? It would be terribly hard for me to leave a place such as yours!!
@OliveCityOasis4 ай бұрын
It would be difficult, but it might be best, for several reasons. We shall see. 😊 Right now, I'd say the odds are 50/50. If I do end up moving, I'm definitely taking many of my trees with me. That's one advantage of keeping some of them in containers. 😎

Haha, I'm trying to "bide my time and survive these long, cold, hard days too!" Kim!! (Hopefully with a functioning knee as well!) Very eloquently spoken & definitely gave me pause for thought - but I knew the gist of what you were about say - Whenever your garden tour has lighted on the orchard, I'm instantly taken on what a delightful spot to tarry and ponder, sit in the shade & listen to the branches creak or read a book - and you created it from scratch, from a fertile spot in your imagination to this glorious reality!! Take a bow, Miss Kim - outstanding effort for orchard, video & especially for sharing your thoughts - very special!! :)

Thanks for your kind words and support, Martin. You painted a lovely picture there - but one that is simple to make a reality actually. It takes a few years, but like so many things in life, the different stages of the journey are all interesting and rewarding. As to the end of the video, I know a lot of people just want to see things growing, and I do talk a lot (!) 😁 - but it's important to me to use my channel to share the often overlooked benefits of nature, gardens, and orchards. 😎

@@OliveCityOasis You're very welcome - it was lovely to hear you express yourself &, honestly, it was a much more compelling case than just the benefits of an abundance of fruit and preserves!! Haha, you do talk a lot but you waste very few words - invariably succinct & to the point so keep them coming! :)
