It's funny just how often 28-3 scores come up in these comebacks, and only because the Falcons blew it in the super bowl with that score does anyone even notice it nowadays. Oh well, those numbers can't hurt me anymore.

There's something about that "3" that seems to signal a blowout in the works (and you need to have a blowout in the works to have a big comeback). I've always said I'd rather turn on the game and see my team down 14-0 than 14-3.
@PatriotMapper
@PatriotMapper Ай бұрын
@@Farting-2 It’s because the “3” signifies a failure by your offense to convert on third downs, while the “0” signifies a strong defense opposing your offense. It feels better to then overcome that strong defense than to keep failing on third downs and winning field goals.
@Farting-2
@Farting-2 Ай бұрын
@@PatriotMapper That's just bad logic. Why is a failure on 3rd down a "failure by your offence" if it happens deep in enemy territory, but it's "strong defence" if it happens in your own territory? Either way, the defence stopped you.

Besides the full comeback in just one quarter, (which is impressive) I look at it like the first team scored all their points early, while the other team scored theirs late. Same deal, they just got their points at different times. It's not really that mind blowing if you think about. Yeah you're down by a lot, but you obviously have a chance to score just as many points and catch right back up.

I know I'm biased but to me the oilers bills game is the greatest comeback in NFL history. Yea I know the bills had a 32 point deficit compared to the colts vikings game at 33 points but buffalos comeback happened in the playoffs against a playoff team. Doesn't quite compare to the vikings comeback against a mediocre at best colts.

Fun fact that the NFL has been trying to hide for years now and fans ignore, is when Benny Cunningham, Larry Johnson, Junior Galette, Chris Borland, Tim Brown, Jerry Rice, and many others have all blown the whistle on signing non-disclosure agreements contractually obligating them to go along with the script. And said players purposely missed tackles once they got the word from "upstairs" "It's just business and entertainment, we already knew tge winner before taking the field" same guys 👆 Look at the games just from the few weeks of this season. How many videos are there of defenseman purposely missing a tackle? Or had a WIDE OPEN shot at the ball carrier and turned INTO one of the blockers Instead lol literally lined up for the tackles and then TURNED AWAY from the ball carrier. Too obvious now
