I doubt it, I think Shigaraki is going to get his shit wrecked this time. She is single handedly holding back the worlds criminals and AFO outright admitted that she could fuck him up if she got ahold of him. It would be an outright slap in the face to have buildup like that only to use her for the Worf Effect in her debut fight in the series. She will without question end up dead or having her quirk stolen later on but right now? I think Shiggy is about to bite off way more than he can chew and get sent running with his tail between his legs.

Now, I'm not trying to hate on them or anything, but has anyone noticed how top tier My Hero Academia becomes whenever class 1-a isn't there lately. I mean, Deku vs Class 1-A was cool and all. But it was nowhere near as amazing as Deku vs Lady Nagant, or as hype as this Shigaraki vs Star and Stripe fight is going to be. I'm not saying they make the story bad, because they don't. But the story tends to become better whenever they aren't around. (Save a few Deku, Shoto, etc.)

Class A as a whole is still not involved enough in the *meat of the plot* for the conflict yet at this point, so that's why. The meat of plot is with the pros heroes, villains, and a few standout important main characters in class A. So Hori gotta intergrate them in better as a whole later, and make their energy fit better in this more serious atmosphere (it seems like Hori wants to use them as the optimistic aspect more so for MHA not to be fully dark -- remember, Japanese audience likes the kids. And you can see how the anime promoted class A *more* than the villains for season 5. lol) I saw the interest spike up as far as the chapters/characters trend in Japan even more in the recent manga arc when Bakugo first showed up to get Deku and with Iida's moment to get Deku for example.

Remember, all might almost got the better of AFO in his prime. Granted, he didn’t have the healing quirk yet. But all might also only had strength at his disposal. If star and stripe is as powerful as they say, she may not defeat Shigaraki, but she may get away to fight another day.

I didn’t expect this chapter to be like this. I assumed Captain Celebrity was going to fight and get killed by AFO’s true body to flex how much stronger Shigaraki is. I believe Captain Celebrity was dethroned by Stars and Stripes. Unlike All-Might and his centuries old quirk, no one else has that. So their spots in the number 1 spot are A LOT harder to hold. (Plus I think Captain Celebrity’s quirk maybe yet another quirk that is FAR too broken for AFO to get for the narrative to handle even with the hint he dropped about Stars and Stripes.) So this was my thought of how things would go down. I thought AFO’s true body would greet the reinforcements and slaughter them as an example to keep the country shaken. Not only were the reinforcements much smaller than I thought, (which I thought Izuku’s blood father would be apart of.) but the main attraction fight threw me off. Stars and Stripes who is NOT going to win this fight. And Shigaraki. I don’t know if AFO is controlling him at the moment. I didn’t see a signal AFO was talking through him. Everyone is split up in the league. So it implies they’re going to attack a bunch of places at once with power they didn’t have before. So my theory the smaller hero schools are at risk may still be in play to weed out safe havens in the country. Which may distract as AFO’s true body goes to UA. Not for OFA as only Shigaraki can take it, but for Eri. He wants lifetimes. May as well have 2 at once. He can’t take Eri’s quirk as that is too much for him to have but he does have forcible quirk activation. And with Aizawa as her caretaker, I think that spells what will happen to her if AFO will NOT get her quirk and it is HORRIBLE imagery. I want to see AFO’s true face. And I still believe AM and AFO’s true body will kill each other both in their primes. It still makes narrative sense to show what Shigaraki and Deku are surpassing. And AM is the perfect weapon for AFO’s true body as a factor written off that could genuinely throw him off. Also I don’t think many of the lieutenants were captured from the MLA. Geten, Re-Destro, Skeptic, Trumpet, and others I think were injured but managed to avoid their capture. Feel like it would’ve been shown in the war after the big deal of showing the teams that were created right before Hawks and Twice had their falling out. (Not Skeptic. He was the ONLY one to avoid any injury.) I don’t think Endeavor and Dabi will be facing off JUST yet. That’s a finale fight that will shift to Shoto. I don’t see Endeavor surviving as I believe Dabi has the ice quirk with his hair difference. It only makes sense as he has a way to torture Endeavor more and there’s nothing more fitting than to prove his breeding efforts to be pointless. And on his ACTUAL star child no less. I realized during a reread that the breeding efforts were less for dethroning AM, (key words being less for that.) and more to make a LITERAL representation on why Touya had to moderate his quirk since he didn’t listen to ANY of Endeavor’s lessons of moderating his quirk and he just kept setting himself on fire since Endeavor doesn’t know how to do emotions. Toga I want to face Uraraka again but it’s not for sure since she seems done with her analyzing Ochako. What happens next with Toga is VERY unsure. And I still think Monoma would be a fitting battle for her with her copy aspect revealed in MVA. Spinner I thought would be the 1st to betray the PNF and he’s talking to AFO carefully. AFO seems to be reassuring him. So he really must be wavering now. Stain is against PNF. So how long until Spinner finds a new path? That’s what I’m really looking at.

I think it was your comment I saw that said that Deku would have to flee Japan if he wanted to survive long enough to train up. I love that, and hope it happens. Ideally Class A or UA would receive information about SAS vs Shigaraki, and would begin Deku’s evacuation along with most if not all of Class A (And maybe Eri, Inko, Kota, and the UA parents). I would say they wouldn’t go to a far away country.. maybe China, Russia Australia, or one of the Koreas (most likely south. Either that or America) during the trip to Class A’s evacuation shelter Deku would finally eat after days of not (class A would reasonably make a big deal about how long he went without food). Oh and this wouldn’t happen all at once. The beginning of the evacuation we would see in short panels during the fight, and the rest afterward most likely.

From the looks of things it seems like Endeavors squad is relatively nearby so I'm assuming this is just going to be a minor scuffel to feel each other's overall power out and Endeavor and hawks will fly up there for the fight then Shigaraki will fall back so as to not get captured. Or they could end up doing like their masters did and trade serious injuries. Which would complete stars and stripes job of giving the heroes their fighting chance and open up the series to 1A running around the world putting down all those villain organizations she has been keeping at bay.

@@purpleheartneptune6267 I'm not seeing this go to many different directions from what I've said if Shigaraki bodies Stars and stripes that wouldn't make much sense since we already understand just how big of a threat he is from the war ark and prison break. If the villains get a hold of her quirk it's game over since they weren't able put Shigaraki down with just his base strength on the table. Then if she ends up beating the breaks off Shigaraki and he ends up captured then that's alot of buildup and writing going out the window for him unless AFO gets his prime body back. But then again Horikoshi has been creative with balancing these things so I'm not to worried just trying to brainstorm all the possible directions this can go realistically from a writing perspective.

Just thought I'd say this real quick but I think afo turned twice into a nomu and the reason behind it is cause at 2:18 the nomu shown has a lot of similarities to the now passed league member and it was said that they used deceased people for the tests so I have a feeling afo "bought him back" due to his quirk having many uses.

A character (detective) a mysterious guy, his persona similar to L Lawliet, would appear and convinced AFO to take his quirk? So the ghosts could reach and hurt AFO? Well we saw how Endeavor, japans #1 did against shigaraki 1v1, and he was no match pretty much. I assume star and stripes is stronger than endeavor, but I get a feeling she will end up losing and get her quirk stolen.

This is an interesting battle the only ones in the viscinity is Heroes and Villains so that lets them really cut loose and go all out from the looks of it which is something that is a MAJOR hinderance to characters with massive Aoe like Endeavor or All Might they have powerful enough quirks to one shot S tier Villains if they didnt have to worry about collateral dmg and civilians
