"BIGGEST FISH I'VE EVER CAUGHT" (Epic fight)

Finally landed a BIG ROCKFISH (Black grouper) on handline from land.
Be sure to watch till the end as things got very wild and intense.
I had to make many decisions during the fight in order to land the fish.
This is the biggest fish I've ever landed from the rocks.
It's SCARY how they can get much bigger then this.

This is exactly where you are wrong, the way he handled the line was wrong, and extremely dangerous, if it was a big GT or a giant grouper he would've been dragged and probably been killed.

@@TheJollymice Not clear as to what you meant by ‘the way he handled the line was wrong.’ I agreed that he was in a dangerous situation and almost gotten badly hurt, especially when he slipped and felt on the sharp rocks. But it is understandable as he was trying to land the biggest fish of his life. Trying to make quick and decisive decisions in such a rush while under high pressure situation is very difficult. Adrenaline always got the best of us… There’s an of old saying “It is easy to judge the mistakes of others. Difficult is to recognize our own mistakes”. I’m glad he landed the fish without any major injuries, and alive to shared the experience.

Awesome video! Where is this? I'm from Australia. A suggestion, do a bit of a revision of gear. Get yourself a big deep drybag you can put all your valuables in and preferably carry out as a backpack. A knife you can wear on the belt would be handy to, landing wise that would be difficult to land solo regardless but perhaps a pole gaff or one of those gaffs you can slip over the line and run down the line till it slips over the fishes head then yank (here its called a cliff gaff). Bloody good fish and a good video mate?
