@@TheJollymice Not clear as to what you meant by ‘the way he handled the line was wrong.’ I agreed that he was in a dangerous situation and almost gotten badly hurt, especially when he slipped and felt on the sharp rocks. But it is understandable as he was trying to land the biggest fish of his life. Trying to make quick and decisive decisions in such a rush while under high pressure situation is very difficult. Adrenaline always got the best of us… There’s an of old saying “It is easy to judge the mistakes of others. Difficult is to recognize our own mistakes”. I’m glad he landed the fish without any major injuries, and alive to shared the experience.

What A Catch The location for fishing is beautiful but more dangerous, with sharp, cutting rocks, his car park is too far from the fishing spot. Thinking a bridge gaff might help you next time, it’s a big treble tied to a light rope that slides down your main line and gaffes the fish, then you pull both up together. I use them to pull grouper up on bridges. Well done! You the man!
