Whale sharks can grow as big as 60 feet long and are nomadic, pelagic filter-feeders, but are related to zebra sharks and bamboo sharks. Congratulations on getting to see a whale shark in-person! About a month before you went on that trip, I actually went to California and saw a young great white while on a boat ride.

I love whale sharks. They’re so majestic. Love all the fishies too! I’ve only ever seen wild fish in the form of porpoises, and this video really made me appreciate Mexican culture a lot more. Plus that shot of your wife in front of the dim purple lightning and soft wind- incredible!! :0

I love seeing the corals in the ocean just about as much as the ones in my own tank! So many sea fans and gorgonians which are non photosynthetic make them hard to keep for many hobbyists so out in the ocean they grow amazing and almost twice as beautiful!

I got to see a whale shark while I was fishing by the Sunshine Skyway bridge here in Florida. They are beautiful!
