BIGGEST FISH we have ever HOOKED in the RIVER!!! - Inshore Fishing, Trinidad
A couple weeks ago for the Carnival holiday in Trinidad, my family and I spent a couple days at Mayaro Beach...Of course you know that means I had to do some fishing...
With a lot of different options to choose from...my choice was to head back to the Ortoire River to try to catch one of the monsters that got away last time...
After a slow couple hours of soaking our live baits and being eaten by bugs...We finally got some action...
While I started throwing lures, Sameer pulled a nice snapper (pag) on my banking caster...Then a few minutes later...Boom! Chaos!
As I crossed back over the makeshift bridge to set up my lines...A true river monster grabbed the live bait on my rod (which was soaking for 2 plus hours) and took off...Sameer grabbed the rod and hooked up! I ran back across and he passed off the rod to me...I tried my best over the next couple minutes to land the fish...But after battling hard...The fish eventually broke off...What it was, we will never know...Best guesses are a Huge Snapper or A Grouper!...Ahhhhh....That's fishing!!!
Hope you guys enjoyed the video! Thanks for watching! Fish On!

Damm must be sad losing that fish g 😅 still tho the fight was amazing I probably watched this video about 10 times. I would really like to know what reel you was using and if it would of reeled in that fish if not for the circumstances ❤

Much thanks for the quick response. I'm from south Trinidad grew up mostly using bamboo rods & caster but thinking of going into the reel & rod in-shore/on-shore fishing and was looking for vids on here and came across yours. So i do like your setups for what you are fishing and i love the rig you used on your Grenada trip the KastKing Sharky III with GX2 spinning rod combined withe the Jig bait Spyro Bucktail. Keep up the good work just next time add a full description of gears used :)

What's a knocker rig???? Can you explain it?
@KoSMTT
@KoSMTT 6 жыл бұрын
Hey Bro...That's where you put in an egg sinker before you tie your hook and let it run freely up and down the line...Will be doing a rigging vid soon...In case you still don't understand...
@jpollonais
@jpollonais 6 жыл бұрын
KoS M ok I understand that. So what's a running line then? Or you will leave the technicalities for the videos
@KoSMTT
@KoSMTT 6 жыл бұрын
Justin Pollonais A running line has a swivel about a 18" (or more) away from the hook which stops the sinker...The line still runs freely.

Hello. I watched a video. When I saw you position positioning, at the first moment I could be a beginner angler would lose fish. The facts, the obstacles in the water, to handle badly the spindle leads to embarrassment. Massive opportunity to place in a spacious position, easier to steal fish by avoiding obstacles. Consequently, all the time to study the case. An old fisherman says: place a hook in the right place, half of the success .....
