A few things, since this video has blown up recently: 1. You don't like the music? Completely understandable, mute the audio and play something else over it, I don't mind at all. Someone here suggested reconstructed ancient Roman music, I think that's a great idea! 2. I see a lot of people here quoting prices as high as $900 to $1000. I don't know where people are finding these prices since LEGO's official site has it for $550. I can only assume you are seeing people trying to re-sell these at a higher price to take advantage of the fact that LEGO is temporarily out of stock. Don't fall for it! Scalpers suck! LEGO will obviously have more stock soon, so just wait for a bit instead of paying almost double. It's a beautiful set, but it's not worth getting ripped off! 3. It's actually a Madagascar 3 reference. 4. Comments containing profanity will be executed for the glory of the Emperor. Ave! 5. If you watched or left a comment or left a like or a dislike I want to thank you sincerely. I did not expect this video to take off like this and I have you to thank for it! Have a great day!

People like to rag on lego for being so expensive but there's a reason for that. Yeah making the peices is easy but the engineering that goes into making a creation like this is what drives up the price. You can't just type "the coliseum" into a computer and have it print out the instructions for you from scratch. Someone had to take the time to figure out how to build the structure and make it sturdy while making sure to add as much detail as they possibly can. And at this scale its a lot of work. Which is why I don't really complain when I see big intricut sets like this being sold for hundreds of dollars.

@Tara Chew this isnt a lego city set nor star wars set. This is a lego set based on a world landmark. If it was a gladiator theme set then yes a minifigure would be appropriate but its not. If your going to argue that there should be a mini fig why not make it a pope mini fig? I mean he lives in Rome; just as much relatability to this LANDMARK themed set or an emporer fig? He would of been in the Colosseum? Or a tour guide themed fig? That would be the only appropriate fig tbh. Personally a minifig would just make the set tacky in my honest opinion.

it was a lot of fun at the beginning, after that I had to make my own fun by playing documentaries about the ancient city of Rome in the background while building

Did you know that the Romans used similar techniques to build the Colosseum? Ok, not plastic material or Lego knobs but prefabricated parts which came from quarries already prepared in mass production like Lego elements?

@@hyfy-tr2jy LOL... Not really. They had all types of elements mass-produced - complete arches in segments, parts of toilets, seats.....

Despite the repetition it looks like slotting the huge segments together is a very satisfying process!!!
@BrickDepot-video4 жыл бұрын
That's exactly how it feels! Especially as it takes so long to get the big segments done! If I had to do it all over again I would wait and attach all of them at the same time, I bet it would feel amazing!

Pure a me è venuta ahahahah, poi se nel video c'è scritto che il tempo di costruzione è di 21 ore e il video dura 18 minuti, immagina quanto ha velocizzato

Awesome video of an amazing Lego set....it was satisfying watching the piles of loose Lego disappear as the set was being put together
