I am truly sorry that this happened to you. You really should put her name out there. It sounds like there was several red flags. Most people think going to court is easy, it is not. In order to receive your judgment, you must know where that person banks at. This is why I would never do event without full payment three weeks in advance. Put her name out there, if she did it to you, she’s going to do it to someone else.

That event planner should be absolutely ashamed of herself. The fact that she intentionally cheated another fellow vendor! She should be outed so this doesn't happen to others. Your work was beautiful and I'm surprised that the actual client didn't respond?? I wonder if she had stiffed the event planner on fees who knows. Same thing happened to me! I'm more cautious now. Deposit first then FULL payment BEFORE you even consider ordering or inflating one single balloon. Yes ma’am. This happened to me. I didn’t put this person on contract because I trusted her. I did her wedding decorations at her church AND her balloons for her reception. No deposit. When I showed Up to get paid, she said what are you talking about. I later learned that every vendor was scammed. I immediately changed my policies.

You’re welcome. Glad to help! No, it typically doesn’t cause damage. I usually use it on the back of backdrops and floors and on the front of backdrops I use clear gaff tape not the black one.

Thank you. Yes, it’s strong I don’t use it on walls mainly on the floor or back of backdrops but because the paint on the pole was rough, I felt more comfortable using the tape.

Do gaff tape take the paint off?

Depending on the paint, I typically use the black gaff on rough surfaces but the transparent gaff I can use on any painted surface without any issues.

Best friend so sorry you had to go through that nonsense,, Even if , since the client may have paid the event planner and felt that she (the client) had nothing to do with it , But if I was the client , I would have been pissed that my planner didn’t pay you , because I’m sure the client paid the planner for that amazing balloon display , So that means The Planner Scammed her also , by charging her for a service that she received for free. So I would hav been pissed with my planner , and would have been all in it .

Yeah something for sure was happening.. maybe the client paid her in full and she just pocketed the money. The balloons are beautiful tho and so was the rest of the venue from the looks of it. Sooo.. I think she just took the money thinking you wouldn’t notice .. ( since it’s balloons people think we don’t work hard.. it’s hard ! And very time consuming ! ) You have a great attitude towards something like that and I’m sure that better projects will come your way .. so sorry it happened
