switched from kayak to an inflatable recently. Had 3 boats before 22, and 2@19. Going backwards in life I guess. actually storage was always a hassle. Anyway , costco boat, 10 ft. 4hp, external tank, 3 gallon, good for 2 all day trips. I dont have a trailer, everything fits in the suv, again no place to park a trailer my place, reason for downsizing. I was a trolling guy. Catch opelu , live bait stuff new, but productive Im finding out. In 3 trips, aku, rainbow runner, ono, mahi and a couple days ago like 30 lb uku, monster. Been out crazy rough, windward side, she handles. Have a 2.5hp new but bought use 4 for 600, raft was 800, with shipping 120, cause no carry locally anymore, so for about 2 k can catch some nice fish. cheaper than most kayak setups. Screw paddling or leg pumping, possibly flipping (kayaks) pump up the inflatable, crank the motor and go. By the way the 4 hp is heavy. get a bigger 4 stroke need one trailer or be young and strong.

@@NoLimitsFishing That would be nice , but my go to spot I gotta hike everything down a small trail. windy with roots and all. small sand area I set up. 52 but still can handle. In morning plenty juice, to walk down the trail 10 times. after baking in sun 10 hours gotta hike up 10 times . feeling my age then. Nearest spot to launch a couple miles away. And putting along 2 miles takes a while. Vs suck it up and head straight out to the spot.

@@NoLimitsFishing Im surprised small inflatable fishing not more popular. I think guys worried about hooks popping it. which you have to be careful , vs a regular boat. I took precautions. yoga matt over inflatable floor, and on sides where I bring the lines in, center area. I have thick rubber, kind use for shower pans, hangs off side and over laps floor some, Be careful with hooks, knives, dont bring a mahi on board green or any fish. small kind precautions . even in worst case scenario has 4 sperate inflated area so cant sink. You what I noticed when Im far out, helicopters and planes change course to fly over me. They probably thinking, look at the white caps and this nut case is way out here.
