Valuable lesson, don't decompress (celebrate) like that before your last shot.
@chili015
@chili015 2 жыл бұрын
While you're not wrong, these guys are so good and have been on the table for so long during the tournament that it's a 1-in-100 to miss that. You usually see guys celebrate when they get on the 9 to win a Final and this was no different.
@Duffyyy94
@Duffyyy94 2 жыл бұрын
Saying this after the fact is pure hindsight and really just not applicable at all. There is no lesson. He still would of missed it even if he didn't celebrate. The rail + pressure against filler in the finals got him. Not the celebration.

@@Duffyyy94 yours is pure speculation. As is his. Celebrating like that will increase your heart rate. That CAN have an effect on a shot like you described easily.

@@davidcamp949 it's already high and celebrating not increasing it to the point where it's soooo high he won't miss. @@brucemiller1696, as a matter of physics, once the cue tip and cue ball made contact, nothing the player does afterwards will effect the trajectory. He missed that shot because he aimed incorrectly. The ball didn't even go into the mouth of the pocket.

@@kelvikelv5322 You are correct about as soon as the tip makes contact with the cue ball. But that's not what the guy said, he said he was standing up before he shot which he did. There is a reason why in pool it is 100% crucial to move nothing of your body when down on a ball and shooting. He was standing up on the forward stroke, its the reason he missed. bad aim is normally never the reason people miss simple shots, mainly pros. Aim is the easiest part for pros, its the making sure you deliver the cue exactly where you are intending to on the cue ball, he didn't he as to excited about the win and was thinking its over and moved him head and body up.

I disagree with the first part. You can go back and find instances of even the legends like Earl, Efren, Johnny, SVB all celebrating when they got on to the last ball for a title. It's a very common occurrence in pool that's been going on for a very long time. I do agree with the second part, though... no need to shout mockingly at the opponent. I can only assume Filler and this kid are friends off the table and it was a learning lesson for the young player.

In some tournaments, you must have 3 object balls pass the head string on the break to count as legal. He made a ball but only one object ball came across the head making it an illegal break.

THE THREE POINT BREAK RULE (1) On the break shot, a minimum of three object balls must either be pocketed, or touch the head string line, or a combination of both. For example, if one object ball is pocketed, then at least two object balls must touch the head string line; or if two object balls are pocketed, then at least one object ball must touch the head string line.
