Russos and Dominoes are just a 1/10 for me, but then again I'm Italian and my American trip made me stop eating pizza for months, can't eat that crap you serve over there, dough tastes like carton, cheese is the cheapest cheese I've tasted, it's just sticky but doesn't taste like cheese, the tomato sauce is made out of watery orange tomatoes which is absolute garbage. They can't even bake it right it's floppy and no char. Atleast get the basics right merica. Even had better pizza in eastern europe slovakia in a cheap hotel... like whyyyy rape our pizzas, stick to burgers (which probably also has fake cheese, fake tomato, hormones cancerous filled meat, slappy buns, "the american dream" is a scam even though I loved route 66 trip with my friends, it wasn't for the food, nice chicks serving coffee though outside in these cabins, halfnaked)

That's why its called NY pizza. Just like Chinese food, it was brought over by immigrants and adapted to local tastes. It's pizza as fast-food (cheap and fast). If you wanted a margherita or whatever you could have gone to an Italian restaurant and paid 3x the price for better ingredients.
