‘Biggest scandal of them all’: Donald Trump blasts USAID for ‘paying off’ fake news media

US President Donald Trump has issued a warning to Democrats claiming they “can’t hide” from the USAID scandal.
The White House confirmed news outlet Politico received at least $8.2 million from the US government in recent years.
The President claimed billions of dollars have been “stolen” at USAID, and other agencies, with much of it going to the “fake news media” as a “payoff for creating good stories about the Democrats”.
Trump posted on Truth Social on Thursday, “LEFT WING “RAG,” KNOWN AS “POLITICO,” SEEMS TO HAVE RECEIVED $8,000,000. Did the New York Times receive money??? Who else did??? THIS COULD BE THE BIGGEST SCANDAL OF THEM ALL, PERHAPS THE BIGGEST IN HISTORY!”

I worked over 38 years in the aerospace industry. I can guarantee you that if I, or others working with or for me, had mis-directed government contract funding like this to advocacy groups or other out of scope efforts we would have been fired and/or prosecuted for fraudulent use of government funds. Same would be true for any of my government customers directing the funding they were appropriated in such a manner. Now, to be fair, I don't know what USAID's actual charter is and I don't think anybody actually does. Maybe their charter allows them to fund political advocacy groups, reward liberal media outlets and fund left-wing causes in foreign countries. But I would think that taxpayers should know that was their charter.

8 million dollars for News Media! Meanwhile we have foster kids in government facilities living pretty close to how we treat prisoners. I bet 8 million dollars would buy enough beds, clothes, food, and care workers so that our children have a fighting chance. Or I bet 8 million dollars would go a long way to help family who have lost everything (be it in a disaster or job lay offs or price increases without pay increases) to find affordable sustainable housing and job training and placement to get those who want off the street off. Or I bet 8 million dollars would have gone a long way to help addicts with medical detox (not just shoving Suboxone and methadone down their throat) and actual medical care and counciling, again for those who want a second chance. I mean I just named three things that 8 million dollars would go a long way towards. But, we are told, there's not enough money to help. Or there is more important things that need money. Well I guess we just figured out what was more important than the citizens
