I feel like mew specifically people are fine with it being really strong because of it being the highest skill pokemon in the game. It’s nice to be rewarded for playing such a difficult pokemon well.

I don't know, I felt the Metagross Unite buff felt totally justified. Previously I'd never seen his Unite move get a KO which is the entire point of it when targeting one or two enemies now it feels possible without being broken. But yeah no idea why they buffed Gyro ball, I expected a meteor mash buff at the most.

I agree, Ttar's Sand tomb build is nassstyyy right now. Razor Claw and using his combos youre procing it so much in such a short time. I have yet to couple it with a scope lens by that is my goal today. Finding items and emblem builds that compliment his new found Godzillaness

Razor Leaf Decid is fine now. They have the highest sustained dps in the game, and razor leaf now multiplies it by nearby enemies. They even have a more reliable anti-dive tool in leaf storm to keep pumping out their insane DPS now. This pokemon is countered by their frailty and that they need dedicated peel and good front line to not get deleted. Its sounds very well balanced now and I'm hesitant to see any more overtuning, a good decid can solo all but the most bursty, dashy assassins in leaf, meow, mimi, etc... and ranged mages that can easily keep him out like A9, delphox, espeon, etc... Decid absolutely destroys slow bruisers like ttar, garchomp, and has the dps to melt most defenders. The buffs now allow decid to duel the more frail all rounders and attackers that can't dash in and ohko him like lucario, swole, azumarill (sans unite), etc... when previously he would lose if you ever got to him because his escape and spacing tools in shadow sneak or leaf storm did not buy him enough time to melt a diver

I feel like Leafeon nerfs are coming eventually but I really hope they don't gut it. I don't play Leaf very often but I do find him enjoyable. I think his biggest problem is the unite move. It's like a free delete button for any attacker, and you get it at level eight to boot. The damage should be significantly reduced or it should be just a single target move, and the charge time could probably be increased as well. You could probably mess around with solar blade as well because that move just guarantees that you'll never secure lane farm ever again if he's your lane opponent.

Well I like how the developers approached the patch, they buffed metagross, and also made sure its counter ttar is good enough to counter it. I like the patches with such things where you provide the option of the counter buffs with the mon buffs, however but due to draft, one team would ban ttar, and the other would pick metagross, I saw some people who had no clue whatsoever, that they would go and pick metagross, even when first 2 picks have already been ttar and umbreon in the opposing team

Leafeon is the most overated pokemon on unite as meowscarada that for some reason people ban that. Leafeon against ttar and metagross has such a hard time too. It kinda surprise me you didnt talk about trevenant considering is the best pokemon on unite atm. Ttar and metagross are defently the biggest winners on this patch.

I suppose I don't rightly know who would be the winner(probably Metagross) but my honest question is the Buff/Patch climate around the game in general. I tend to find it confusing at times. Coming from the Fighting Game Community where some Fighting games tend to nerf and or buff certain things based on community feedback (either positively or negetively) it makes me wonder why some things get handled the way they do? You mentioned Mew basically getting beaten to death with nerf after nerf but does that make the character fun at the end of the day? Im not saying it wont be good for people who know how to use it but who wants to play a Pokémon that is ONLY recieving nerfs? Imagine getting a game with the sole purpose of playing your favorite Pokémon and it is so divisive among the community that it just constantly gets bashed for being too good despite it being probably the most mechanically demanding Pokémon ever? To me, that seems like it would suck for Mew specialist who take pride and enjoyment in being good with something that is incredibly difficult to master. I suppose the question i have is this; would it be better to buff the weaker Pokémon and not nerf the strong ones? Again, I come from the fighting game community and patches there tend to make or break characters seemingly forever until something drastic happens.

Mew is one of the most flexxable pokemon in the game and deserved a nerf. Offer so much. But if people still keep playing the same pokemons other people didnt enjoy the game to see the same pokemons against over and over this is why balance patches exist is to shake a bit the gameplay experience on the ladder. Mew before the nerfs was used way often on competitive, same reason why inteleon got a nerf has well the blastoise right? (Even blastoise need a nerf also for the ladder). The problem this game isnt a game made for be fun to play your favorite pokemon you know what i mean? There are people that love lucario but some of them play it terribly. Are you will to play a pokemon that is bad but you love? It depends if you wanna play for win or for having fun.

@raizen4597 I want to say thank you very much for taking the time to reply with a concise answer. I suppose this is a genre I am just much too unfamiliar with. While I keep up with the game here and there and have been on and off it (I basically stopped playing when Inteleon came out) so I am somewhat familiar with the Glaceon terror and have seen how things tend to turn out for the other Pokémon. It is just highly unfortunate that you have to look at the characters in this game more like "functions" rather than your favorites that you have been waiting awhile to play. @@joshuaaleman247 me too man, i started playing long time ago and stopped, i re-started play unite during the zacian format and that one was awful and stop. I re-started when mewtwo x was release and stop because the ttar bp hollower i didnt like it (and that was the most unfun meta on unite imo). And continue on the previous season. Im probably gonna stop playing after the anniversary if they dont gokna do something really good because the game is defently more fun than before but there isnt something new on gameplay for so long. There are so many cool game ou there. You playing fighting game for example and i would say tekken 8 seems very fun and easy to access into the game from what they tell me. Thank you man ❤

Not gonna lie some buffs and Nerfs I loved to see is this Lvl 5 for all Eevees but same move lvls but 4 goes to 5 Leftovers should have a reversed effect where in battle It Gives you regen instead of out of battle so it's actually a Good Item 2 more things just some move changes Unstoppable on Covet The Removal of the Cooldown bar for Shadow sneak on Sableye cause it's already a 12 second Cooldown and .5 second after casts if it gets Stunned it just can't do anything cause of the HP nerf and Attack nerfs

Eevee is terrible doesnt have damage and doesnt have bulk... losing on altaria fights is so bad and game changing you dont even immagine. I was playing umbreon 1 game with terrible team mates and i couldnt evolve and i was useless for half of the game because i was in lane by myself... Also people often play speedster attacker or all rounder... are people gonna play exp share on lane? I dont think so... Having the unite at lv9 are more reasonable than having eevee evolve at lv5 dude.

@raizen4597 not really I can see your a Eevee main but dude Eevees are too Oppressive and Level up too fast a Lvl difference won't change anything at all I've been a Zeraora Main before Sableye came out and bro was a 6 8 10 12 14 Lvl it Didn't matter cause it was just that Good of a Pokémon and it's a Speedster The eevees have Stuns Heals Range Speed Bulk and AOE I don't think it will hurt them that badly

@@hobocat_ i agree with you infact what they have to do is making the other pokemons evolve to the second form at lv4 (or at least faster). I use to be a garchomp main but i think the developers didnt play the game to do that. Zeraora has to have the second move at lv6 not lv7 imo.

Biggest winner of the patch is Leafon by far. They nerfed Trev, Blast, Buzz and Mew and Meowscarada in the last few patches, Leafeon is the only 100% pick/ban worthy mon left imho.

@@raizen4597 the great thing about both Leafon and Trev is that you can pick them, and the first can jungle or lane dps, while the second can do it's difendere job or be an effective all rounder. I also agree that umbreon and hoopa can be top tier. I love Umbreon as solo because id o one goes support and i have 3 dps at least he can do a little of both jobs ad defender and healer. And hoopa can enable crazy macro as always.

The Mew nerfs are honestly so unfair. It's the only Pokemon I bought the Battle Pass skin of and is still my favorite Pokemon. I don't understand the nerfs, the only nerf I felt like it really needed was the Solar Beam nerf, but other than that, it's unfair. Mew is really REALLY hard to be great on.
