Doodly vs CreateStudio - Which one is better for you?

Doodly is the king of whiteboard video software. But CreateStudio is a all in one explainer video software. With a recent update, CreateStudio can now do a lot of Doodly can do, so which is better Doodly or CreateStudio? Well it's not an easy answer, as one is a very good at a few things and the other can do many things okay. So it does depend on what your explainer videos need to contain. 5:40 "I Just want to say, I find CreateStudio difficult to use". I don't think it's fair to compare Doodly and CreateStudio. A fair comparison is CreateStudio vs Toonly and Talkia. Doodly is still my best choice for cranking out quick whiteboard type videos which is why I purchased it. For animation software CreateStudio and Toonly obviously have their strengths and weaknesses. I happen to notice CreateStudio makes a good asset and media management app. I'm going to start storing my stuff in it. Should make my hard drive more manageable. Specifically my stuff will be stored online.

Thanks for your comment. Both softwares can be used to make whiteboard explainer videos. For some people they will be able to only get one of these softwares. A strength of Doodly is that it is easy. CreateStudio isn't easy to use and I think people should be aware of this

Hi .. pls may ask does create studio allow for multiple scenes on the same page . U know the way doodly allows a continuous flow my literally have a design canvas that does not end , you simply move to different places on the canvas as the focus keeps panning . Create studio seems to require you to have a fresh empty canvas when ur current canvas is full . Thereby breaking the seamless flow of doodly

@@adediranadewunmi1772I’m sorry but what do you mean by “when the canvas is full”? For me Doodly and CreateStudio is very different from each other (even if CS can make doodles) and therefore suited for different situations. We use CS for making animated props to enhance PowerPoint presentations. Doodly comes in handy when we want to make a short tutorial or clearly visualize a specific point.

@@thomashartmann5037 picture a scenario where u are making a whiteboard animation. As the pencil draws on the white board illustrating each point . It’s gradually begins to.clutter . It gets to a point there won’t be space on the white board anymore to contain more elements. At this point the next scene (scenario) is done on a fresh white board, this is what I have seen in all the clips I av seen about whiteboard animation using create studio. Create studio always shows the next scene after this point of saturation on a CLEAN board with all the previous elements gone . Doodly handles this differently . It progressively moves the focus accommodating newer elements while discarding older ones . So the transition is smoother and more engaging than create studio . Now I don’t know if this restriction from create studio or not . I will share two sample videos to hopefully buttress this more

very good. very helpful. have been looking for awhile before purchasing the difference between the 2 and which, for like me a newbie beginner to YT video creation, would do better at. doing side by side comparison of same example helped me to decide on Doodly. while I know animation is all the latest, I personally don't like it. I favor whiteboard animation. It's more realistic to me in terms of human handwriting. Thx for great video!

It does not seem like you are making an "apples to apples" comparison. You mentioned how it took 20 mins for a 10 second scene compared to 2 mins in Doodly. But in Doodly you were only doing "White Board" whereas in CreateStudio you were doing full animation. How does "White Board" compare with "White Board"? It is MUCH easier to make a character animation video in CreateStudio than it is to make one in Doodly as it is impossible to make one in Doodly, since Doodly can't make an animation video. Is it easier to make a white board explainer video rather than a full animation video? Absolutely. This is like comparing a car to a plane. "It's much easier to drive than it is to pilot". Yeah, well your car can't fly.
