They continue on with more advice on how to love yourself. They gave at least a dozen different bits of advice and none of them were "listen to us affirm you and tell you you should love yourself".

@@strangerinmoscow6858 it's not about "they told me to love myself so I'm doing that" just so you know. There are loads of people like us who constantly go through the constant battle of their self-image, self-worth and not to mention the mental health issues. It's a neverending process of affirming and reassuring ourselves. And we can connect with them and feel what they are saying and that's the understanding no one else will understand. I know there are some cringe ways a part of the media tries to "preach" this kinda messages. But it's not the same case here. There's a mutual understanding between them and the fandom(at this point I don't think anyone understands them better than the ARMYs) and that's why it hits different.

I am stuck in this loop of not loving myself to trying to love myself to regretting trying to love myself cuz I know i don't deserve it..... I had a lil too rough childhood , I was lonely , my fam is pretty bad [ issues] and by the time I felt better I lost my dad a few months ago which changed my life , now I am in a whole new city , new school , new life but same mind... I am just a highschooler in india, BTS is the one that makes me smile through my hardest times , so I love them. After I lost my dad , I am scared that I might lose others [ whom I love]...I made mistakes which are making me guilty... I KNOW that I am unworthy of love and care so I show it to others... Guess what I am the so called popular and nice girl of my class... I look the happiest said people... this took me a lot of courage to write coz I hate when people show some sort of sympathy, sympathy is different from comforting and helping.

i found bts when i was really low and immediately a fan of the way Namjoon kind of mapped out the whole youth for me to just follow his guide. it felt relieving to have people speak for your feelings, emotions, worries, cases just like BTS do. Namjoon especially, i am sure to say that he has pulled me out of my depressing state and introduced me to a better way in seeing the world... kind of, like a very understanding friend and a therapist hahahah. I know that my wish might not reflect their musical taste & growth, but i wish that they keep making music that heal people... heal anger, sadness, anxiety... sometimes when artists are in better state, they are filled with joy and satisfaction that they speak to their fans with different message and i understand that. i am glad BTS pulled themselves out from the 2013-2018 kind of depressing mood and move to more cheerful & uplifting mood. its just that the way BTS has stuck in my life is by the way they speak about hardships in life. i will cherish it every day, thankful that i met them 💜💜 borahae to BTS and all ARMYS, hope we all live happily & find peace in our pace. 💖💖
