The person you saw at the end of the video who is writer this folk song "Uzun İnce Bir Yoldayım". His name is Aşık Veysel Şatıroğlu. In additional, there are lots of dialects in Turkey. Pronuncations change from person to person. It is nice to realize. Good reaction thank you 💜

The language spoken in all parts of Turkey is the same. We speak Turkish. Only in some regions can words be pronounced softer or rounder or rounded. In other words, there may be accent differences in villages and districts of the East, West, Black Sea and Mediterranean regions of Turkey. But the written-spoken language of Turkey is Istanbul Turkish. It is more polite and fluently spoken. We speak with that accent. And all the artists you listen to sing in Turkish. The songs they sing are songs that have been in Turkey since time immemorial and that we care about. But they sing the songs they sing in their original form, pronouncing them according to the region to which they belong, with an accent appropriate to the region from which these songs come out. Finally, your videos are really cool, just keep going to react

for the original one : kzbin.info/www/bejne/bYq9Y32jgrqInZo en.wikipedia.org/wiki/%C3%82%C5%9F%C4%B1k_Veysel Âşık Veysel (born Veysel Şatıroğlu; 25 October 1894 - 21 March 1973) was a Turkish ashik and highly regarded poet of the Turkish folk literature. He was born in the Sivrialan village of the Şarkışla district, in the province of Sivas. He was an ashik, poet, songwriter, and a bağlama virtuoso, the prominent representative of the Anatolian ashik tradition in the 20th century. He was blind for most of his lifetime. His songs are usually sad tunes, often dealing with the inevitability of death. However, Veysel used a wide range of themes for his lyrics; based on morals, values, and constant questioning of issues such as love, care, beliefs, and how he perceived the world as a blind man.

There are different dialects in Turkey, and some more local, or micro dialects. Normaly, south-Southwest share a similar dialect, east black sea, marmara and thracia, inner anatolia, east, south-east too share a similar dialect. Istanbul Turkish is the form of Turkish used in documents etc. And the language tought in the schools called Turkish but actually it is Istanbul Turkish. Thanks to media and schools every Turkish speaker understand Istanbul Turkish today. Other than that, many accents became kind of assimilated, or softened. Only very old people know and speak more pure forms of their accents. So, today any Turk would most probably understand any Turkish speaker from any region of Turkey no matter what accent they have. At least they would understand most of it. However, places like Balkans Rumelian accents are still spoken and, since those places are no longer part of Turkey, the local dialects affected from the languages spoken in the land, instead of from Istanbul Turkish. So it is hard to understand those dialects if they use a pure dialect. Not impossible but requires attention. Also, even I understand the old peoples accents, listening and speaking them too long make me sleepy, and my head starts to ache. Because, although I can understand most, it requires to be focused. And if I somehow lost my focus a while, I don't understand. Or if they talk too fast. I said there are micro regional accents, for example a village consist of people from Crimea, or founded by a Turkic tribe resettled there during late Ottoman times. In those areas, people speak Turkish (or a turkic language and Turkish creole) but it is indeed hard to understand those accents

Hi Girls! Please react to "Şebnem Paker - Dinle" from Eurovision 1997. It "only" became 3rd place but is in my opinion better than Sertab's winning song because: 1. it has traditional instruments and 2. its in turkish. But Sertab is amazing of course. :) Thanks for all your reactions!

You are right, dialects are slightly different in some regions but every Turk easly understand what each other says. I saw that you surprised at the end of the black and white video. He is Aşık Veysel the writer of the song. Born in 1894. Become blind at age 7, wrote a poetry book. Wrote this song in 1965. By the way same song, very famous heavy metal group Pentagram made the same song. There was an epic concert years ago. You want to do that too. kzbin.info/www/bejne/poPEl4uAf7Bnqtk Or another song called 'Bir' which tells about religion and how religion men twist the meanings. kzbin.info/www/bejne/iZuui5esdtKGitE
