Orga isn’t a Godzilla he may have dna from Godzilla but he is not a Godzilla that’s like saying megaguirus is a Godzilla because of the dragonfly also having Godzilla dna due to the meganula injecting the dna they took from Godzilla into the bug btw that wasn’t Zilla that was Godzilla from the 98 film and Godzilla from GTAS Zilla is a separate character first appearing in final wars

I think when Godzilla Ultima is looking forward, it is goofy, bet it gets better when he does the same thing but his head is more lower, and it is just badass in my personal opinion. Especially with the fire. 2:54 yes

Honestly a great tier list imo. Very similar to how I’d put together a tier list of the designs. Only things I’d personally do differently is put 2014 Godzilla above 2019/2021 Godzilla because the 2019 design just feels unoriginal to me and the shape language is off, and I’d put Ultima in cream of the crop

I wonder how would froakie feel if they made an anime with shin Godzilla in it, when I think about it, I feel like not that many would agree with such an idea, unless they want to see shin undergo some grotesque transformations to better counter his opponents. Fun fact: shin is the youngest among them all if were going into his lore. Sounds nerdy tbh. Love the video man. I agree with everything in this chart. I just imagine the terrible design of son of Godzilla with the tall head being used as a tool to bust down a door.

Honestly, I actually approve about 70% of your rankings. The ones that I strongly agree with are MireGoji, Godzilla 1994, and KiryuGoji for sure. Those designs are the best to me. I have a soft spot for FinalGoji. G2019 and 2021 are no doubt superb. The G2024 coming out soon is also sweet. The ones where I think I disagree are some of the Showa ones. G1962, 1964, 1966, and 1968/1972 are actually some of my favorite designs, but I respect your ranking of them. Either way, nice ranking. Also, GiraGoji (Godzilla 2000 from Megaguirus) is also one of my faves, but like you, they could have kept the skin dark green. Instead of making it brighter. The shape, form, texture and the spines are all good, don't get me wrong, but that dark green really complimented the purple spikes and all.

I personally like burning godzilla’s design but I do believe it could be fixed I feel like the chest burn could be kept as its likely to emphasis *his damn heart is on fire* I feel like orange streaks across his body would make it cooler as it’d look like even his veins are melting. But oh well,toho still did gud. I believe g14’s design>every other monsterverse godzilla G19 is undoubtedly my least favorite,I really dislike how they took away the original dorsal plate design just for something similar to the original (don’t get me started on that dogwater mix between the g14 and showa godzilla roar,thats just lazy and shit.)and I think the massive feet and general large size is a bit more realistic as its a literal kaiju. I would rank G21 above G19 solely cause of how radiation is visible across his body and the battle scars.

While 1975 Godzilla is my favorite and i see no flaws in his design, godzilla 1955 is so underrated from certain angles he looks pretty intimidating and cool. Mostly when i think of 1955 goji, I think of the x-plus figure which made him look so good

There is no such thing as a bad Godzilla design. Toho approved of it and so do we. It is only bad if you are taught that it's bad. There is no set design for the big "G". Therefore, Orga is a perfect Godzilla design. Except for Destroy All Monsters, he bug eyed as hell 🤣

I find your all your opinions to be valid however I do think 2014 Godzilla was a better design than his other 2 versions, to me he felt more realistic for a American movie rather some speed demon of a radioactive power house lizard. Shin Godzilla I absolutely agree with since it looks like a victim of atomic waste a different take to how Godzilla was ment to represent the despair nuclear energy can bring.

For my thoughts, I think 2014 looks absolutely epic from the front unlike the other ones. I don't like in gvk or KOTM they made the nostrils farther apart, it just looks weird in some shots. Also I love the sharp gills on 2014.

I think '98 Godzilla and the animated series designs should both be in bottom tier. They're good monster designs, just really bad Godzilla designs. If TriStar just renamed the movie, removed any mention of the name Godzilla, and just made it as an American monster movie, it probably wouldn't have been as widely hated. Don't get me wrong, the movie would've still been bad even if the monster wasn't named Godzilla, it just wouldn't be as hated.

@@Icantfindagoodname No, this is a tier list on Godzilla designs, and it doesn't matter if the design by itself is good, '98 Godzilla and '98 Godzilla Jr. are terrible Godzilla designs. They look almost nothing like Godzilla and Jr. is only slightly better because he has something close to atomic breath. Like I said, '98 Godzilla and Jr. are honestly really cool giant monster designs, just really bad Godzilla designs. It's kinda like how the Jurassic Park dinosaur designs are really good in their own right, but are terrible when it comes to being accurate to real dinosaurs.
