I've seen very little of this show, but whatever its bits I have managed to watch, are a scene for scene, dialogue for dialogue copy of the original 1995 version of Hum Paanch. This episode included. If they really wanted to make Hum Paanch for the modern audience, was coming up with original stories and episodes really that difficult? I know some episodes are original, but that was clearly because there are a lot of themes from the original sitcom that don't fit into today's day and age which they had to alter. Otherwise wherever they can, like I said, they didn't bother with any creativity other than giving Kajal a weird haryanvi accent for some reason. Is there really this much scarcity on Indian TV in terms of content? That every third show is just a remake of an old one? Kahan people used to crib that stories are repetitive one, kahan now, they aren't just copying stories, they are literally copying dialogue for dialogue.
