Wow, that came out really nice. I realize that this video is 5 years old, but I have an idea that would keep the wooden board from warping due to humidity from the plaster. Placing a large piece of plastic wrap into the frame before pouring the plaster will definitely keep any moisture away from all wood surfaces.

Well, those holes give the "concrete" a nice look, but you're right they shouldn't be that prominent in smaller scales. One way is to shake the liquid plaster thoroughly or to use drywall.

To be honest, I didn't intend to take the plaster out of the frame. It was supposed to stay there, but the wood got humidity from the plaster (the wood solution was not enough to protect it), and got bended. So I had to replace the bottom board with the new one - side battens were ok.

Wow! This is exactly what I was looking for! Only I want to make a sidewalk/curb to fingerboard on and grind. I was gonna use real concrete (knowing nothing about it), but plaster looks way smoother and perhaps easier to work with. Do you think plaster would make an abrasive grinding sound on the edges when playing with a fingerboard like a real skateboard grinding concrete? Thanks!
@Big-Modeller5 жыл бұрын
Hi mate :) Now that I googled what a fingerboard is I have bad news. This painted plaster is very fragile. I mean VERY. You can mess it up just by staring at it intensive enough ;). Better find a more sturdy material for your track.

Ja robiłem podobny display to długo się męczyłem, by zachować skalę! Poszedłem trochę na łatwiznę i zamiast wylewek zastosowalem płytę kartonowo-gipsową, którą "obrałem" z kartonu i pomalowałem na szary beton - to też fajna metoda:)
@Big-Modeller7 жыл бұрын
@aleksanderprzytua7 жыл бұрын

@Big-Modeller8
