If you only want to memorize a few, then I'd suggest Dartmoor and China. The rest are either story mission related, easy to discover (Train), easy to get around (Dubai staff), or not particularly useful (Dubai safe, Berlin safe).

btw another tip: if you lose your money and legendary knives and short shotgun; not only the bank is a good place to recover money and a source of legendary curved daggers from the safety deposit boxes, you can also use the heist outfit and grab the 7 gold bars in the vault with it to spawn a gold short shotgun in the middle of said vault

After finishing 50 campaigns I can confirm "Arms Trafficking" is the easist playstyle - the objectives are just really hard to fail as long as you don't die. And explosives are the best for targets in public. For me not worrying about SA is what makes Freelancer fun to play

Have you tried “Assassination”? As long as you have a silenced pistol and the first Sieger sniper, you’re good. I don’t know if it’s a bug or not but the first sniper is silenced (and fairly cheap) but it doesn’t say so in the description.

Yeah, the whole thing of SA not being important is super liberating. I love it. Doing a mission where the target had to die by assault rifle and I had to pop five guards with an assault rifle was some of the most fun I've ever had on Colorado.

Quick tip, targets on alerted territories can see through guard disguises but not civilian disguises. You can freely walk up to them and drop a rubber duck next to them if you're in the right civilian disguise.

I love how Freelancer has reinvigorated Hitman. My God it was getting redundant, even with the challenge contracts, escalation it's pretty much just playing a more challenging version of the base game. Freelancer represents what a developer should do when their game gets stale, provide limitless longevity at a price increase of ZILCH! Almost feels like charity, amazing example set by IOI, especially after Hitman VR flopped, it woulda been easy to abandon...

I don't mind the VR mode sucking so hard, it's free and i still love IOI for that. Also they got me to stop savescumming with the freelancer mode. And in general... i'm playing hitman again. I just hope they don't add microtransactions... maybe it's just ptsd from seeing how the boxes open.

VR just sucks, it's not quite to where we need it yet, for Hitman, but there are other VR games that make this VR mode look like FO 76 on Day 1 launch. Pathetic.

@@BlackMoonHowls Well VR development is on another level. Their engine supported it so it wasn't that big of a task to add VR support. You could do this with most unity and unreal engine games. But to actually make it work and make it feel right is a whole different story. It's was a free update though... not like the shitshow that was FO 76 at launch.

I'd love to see Mooney tackle an entire campaign with the "Sick Games" syndicate type. Completely randomised objectives for every map. Also the little bench and rug around 54:55 is used to meditate. If you sit there for long enough and listen to Ave Maria as it plays, you get an achievement. All the trophies and stuff on the top floor landing (outside the office and bedroom) are all the achievements you've earned in freelancer mode. Hope this is helpful!

The devil duck is basically the best item in this mode, it’s as good as the old electric phone. Not only is it 1 slot, all npcs will pick it up. It doubles as both a coin distraction and a free kill for hard targets that don’t leave a crowd

Something fun you can do if you don't have a remote explosive to open a safe is blow up a propane flask in front of the safes door to open it, and not only that you will also complete the open safe with explosive objective as well.

Something someone has probably already brought to your attention, or something you've figured out by now; During a showdown, if a suspect that isn't your target begins to flee, Diana won't say anything. Only when your actual target starts fleeing will she say something. Hence why you weren't notified when those other people started running.

I have to wonder if the trip mine would have counter for a proximity explosive 🤔 Also by the way, you get a challenge (Tranquility I think) if you sit at that random blanket you were talking about around 55:15 for 5 minutes. It’s dumb but it’s free mastery XP for freelancer so it’s worth doing. Totally agree there should be more to do, maybe permanent upgrades to unlock like Hades. Would love that. Glad you’re still enjoying this as much as us despite the bugginess and crashing!

Some advice if there a secondary objective to eliminate a guard with a shotgun assault rifle or SMG or sniper rifle and one of your targets is a guard you can eliminate the target that is the guard with the weapon can complete 2 objectives at once also if you have a prestige objective that is eliminate a target with a epic gun you can complete 3 objectives with one kill Also on showdowns assassins also count towards the eliminate guard objective

Ah, the humble Remote EMP: perhaps the most underappreciated tool in all of Hitman: WoA. Besides being an excellent way to fry inconvenient security servers without the risks that come with shooting them, the EMP can also be used to spark explosions from gas leaks and can be left in any puddle as an impromptu but effective remote taser. Plus, as a legal item, it can be carried, dropped, placed or thrown anywhere without raising suspicion; is not taken into account during frisks; and will not be stolen by guards or NPCs. It's particularly useful with Eco Crime contracts, where repeated electrocution objectives can drain your taser supply in no time! (I think I learned most of this from MrFreeze2244 videos, but I double-checked it all in-game anyhow. Apparently, this is a good use of my limited free time.)

I had the "Hide and seek" objective on Mumbai and went to hide in the crate on the street. Since walking that way is an automatic exit and the exit is always open in freelancer, it pulled up the warning that I still had a target alive. But instead of an option to exit and alert the other territories and an option to continue playing, it just gave me the option to say "ok." So if you're ever on Mumbai or Dartmoor, don't walk near the automatic exits because the game will force you to abandon the mission.

I'd like to be able to defend your safehouse in a John Wick meets Home Alone kind of way. Like if you fail the campaign, they follow you back home and you have to defend it. Also it would be cool to utilize other maps for Freelancer, like Hawkes Bay and the Sniper Assassin maps.

When that suspect lady you threw a frag at was trying to escape, you could tell she wasn’t the real target, because when she started running, the game didn’t warn you that the target was trying to escape. If the person you need to kill is trying to escape, it will tell you how many meters from the exit they are.

On alerted territories, targets enforce your suit and all guard disguises. Non-guard disguises is the way to go here. Goes double for showdowns. Try to think of maps with high access civilian disguises for alerted/hardcore showdowns, eg Dartmoor and Paris As for timed prestige objectives, Timed Trial freezes when you kill all targets. The disguises and hide and seek ones don't. So you can mop up the kill guards etc objectives after you've killed all targets if you have Time Trial Edit - If the escaping suspect was your target, Diana would have told you so. You managed to spook a different Agenda Network than your actual target's. It actually helps if a wrong agenda network escapes, as it narrows down your list of suspects. I once was left with only two suspects in Hokkaido!

Mooney some big tips.. 1 you can shoot a loud gun with nobody hearing it if you shoot it behind 2 shut doors (2 door rule) and 2 you can place items (L1 +r1 or caps lock I think) if you place a gun on a railing they will ALWAYS 100% walk to the ledge so you can give em a shove by accident obviously 47 a good boi

It risky but p easy to get elite guard disguise (puts you outside the room that let's you cook the ICA lady in her big azz computer room)

Oooh sheet best map if you go to NYC and get into the vault dressed as the bunny robber (toilet guy) if you take the server you get 8k M and as a cherry if you get all 7 or 8 gold bars a golden shotgun spawns (might be sawnoff) and ya bunny mask turns gold too EAAASY muns once you know the route or come with a AK and a few extra clips teehee

Hey mooney, hope you see this but I noticed you chased down your target at the end to realize it wasnt the real target, well, a good way to try and check which suspect is the actual target is to see if diana (and the game) warns you when your target is escaping. When the real target tries to escape, Diana will say something along the lines of "47, Your target is escaping, get to them quickly" and a "TARGET ESCAPING: (x)M TO EXIT" objective will appear, this does NOT happen when non targets try to escape the level or hide, hope that helps you in your hitman shenanigans Love your videos!

Mooney, I'm a noob in hitman, but I have noticed that in certain maps, the guards, especially the elite guards will carry either assault rifles or shotguns, so depending on the objective, you don't have to use the assault rifle/shotgun from your inventory unless you want to use the suppressed version. I think the suppressed shotgun is best used in freelancer because of the high stakes.

On Bangkok, I usually start by going onto the top floor of the right wing of the building, there I usually break into room 207 or 206, take out guards, hide them into the bathroom and get my guard-kills that way, after that, using Guard disguise, I plan how to deal with my targets. (I do Arms Trafficking for the most part)

Glad to hear that you're enjoying freelancer mode! I'd love to see you create your own crazy limits for a campaign on top of what the game gives you. Maybe give hardcore mode a pass for a little bit? Right now, it definitely feels like a step backwards in terms of freedom and fun with the missions. It's possible my opinion of it will improve if I can stop failing missions. 😂😭

You gonna just keep playing. Doesn’t hurt to start over when failing an show down. I barely got though an second show down. Just remember all your stuff that’s on the wall you find/bought won’t disappear. Use any stuff you take and the items in the suitcases that are on the table. Use any item you can, like “like fuck around and found out” lol.
