Guys, we really enjoyed this video. Having been bogged in sand before, we understand how challenging it can be. Tire pressures are everything, but what really impressed us was the fact that you guys made sure all of the kids where safe and out of the way. So many times we've shook our heads at the stupidity of some people doing recoveries.

Your dust...seal all the holes where the electrical and water pipes come in as well as wheel arches if you have them as they are just spot welded. We've also found the inside step well between the floor and the well is unsealed.

Really enjoyed your video. Always pays to look up local FB groups like Geraldton 4x4 where you can get local knowledge re which beaches are treacherous. Had the white Y62 gotten truly stuck, a quick shout out on the group page would have someone come and winch you out, possibly saving the Y62 from a watery grave. There's been a lot of vehicles lost to the ocean down that way.. None of the beaches south of Greenough River are driveable. If you had turned right at the river mouth you would have headed to a huge area with plenty of dunes to test out the Y62's. The area is called Southgates. Was great hearing those Y62's roar, nothing like that 5.6 V8 going hard. Looking forward to seeing more of your adventures.... Have a great New Year...

It’s funny because we usually travel so slow and I do you get on community pages because I like hearing about an area and finding out what’s going on around town and where to go… Because we travelled with friends we moved quite quickly and this was a spur of the moment trip! We definitely learnt the hard way and I can tell you now, won’t be driving on any beaches at Geraldton again 😂😂 thanks for the feedback and I hope you enjoyed watching ☺️👍🏻

Hi Guy’s, I have a MukMat in the same place and to stop it slipping slightly I have placed a bit of non-slip matting (the stuff you use in drawers etc.) and it makes it a little safer. Just a thought :)

Great vid you two. Sand and beach driving are a young mans game. In my 20's I was the same as you in this vid. In my 30's probably the same with a bit more worry. In my 40's no way but would probably be talked into it by mates. In my 50's would look and think I could do that. Now in my 60's no way am i going on a beach or sand. Way too much effort to get out when (not if ) I get bogged. Good to watch you though

I think people would look at us strange if we walked around with one of them 😂😂 I actually don’t think we ended up getting the fish and chips that day, by the time we left it was actually quite late! Another cracking episode, don't miss the sticky WA flies at all, good news is they seem to disappear at 40°. The bad news is it needs to get there 1st. The distances between towns on the west coast are hard to comprehend and the one thing I struggled with coming to the East Coast. Horrocks beach, Green Head and definitely Kalbarri, Lancelin and the sand dunes at Wedge point

The Billabong homestead hotel (Shell) just south of the roadhouse makes the best steak 🌶 burger and chips around. I’ve had dozens of meals there over the years and they have never been anything but delicious.

I think Chris 💕 just got purely lucky to get off that beach, I really don’t know how he even did it! That sand was so soft it was difficult to walk in!! The other car had dick cepek tyres, the ones we used to run, so it may have been the difference but who knows 🤷🏼‍♀️ I know drone in our car isn’t too bad I’m not too sure on theirs, I’ll have to ask and get back to you!!

From Dave himself ☺️ he said because we have both centre and rear mufflers on, the drone at 100ks is barely there. Under acceleration, there is a slight drone but def bearable.

We are running Yokahama‘s 295’s with 18 inch rims and they have dick cepek 285’s with 20 inch rims… quite possibly it could’ve been the difference! The bigger the rim the less bulge I guess!

Hey John, this is a designated off-road vehicle area. Buggies, quads, Polaris and dirt bikes are all allowed here too! I’m pretty sure our car would have done the least damage out of all of them. The WA government have dedicated this small area to recreational vehicles. ☺️👏🏻
