You two are so cute together and perfect for one another 😍 I married my HS sweetheart 27 years ago and he often asks if he scored brownie points for all the heavy farm chores. I cracked up laughing at that. Marriage is so awesome. I pray more people take it seriously in the generations to come. Because even though it’s work it’s the most awesome journey we get to do. Except for being a grandparent. Now that has been a major blessing in our lives. God is so good! I always say grands are the reward from God for raising teenagers and I raised 3 😉🤗

I love how calm you are with the bees, Lacie. I could never do that. I would definitely be freaking out. I also love the song you put in the video after you and Mike were bantering back and forth about flipping that log around. They say that opposites attract. Treasure each other in spite of your differences. Years ago I lost my husband, who was pretty opposite of me the same way you and Mike are. I am very laid back, he was very neat and organized. But we loved each other to the moon and back! :-)

Please forgive me if this is something that you already know about bees, but one reason for the disappearance of your previous bee colony is that they grew too numerous for your hive to accomadate. When they decide to swarm to move and find a new and larger place to live, you have a day or 2 to do what is called a "split". This will do 2 things: one, ensure that you keep the hive that you already have by taking a percentage of the hive population out and rehousing them, and 2, give you another population of bees essentially for free and very little labor so that you can take advantage of the multiplication. Farm mathematics!!! 2 hives for the price of one. As to how to perform the split, there is a guy on here named "the fat bee man" and he does some very informative tutorials on alot of bee keeping tasks and the hive split is one of them. He is a very good teacher and you should learn alot of good information about your new bee venture from him. I started watching him several years ago and he is an older gentleman so he may have already passed away, but I am sure his channel will still be available even if he is not.

Wonderful! You may have caught a wild swarm and that is nice because their genetics are more suited to your area! Fantastic! Good idea to put the maple syrup out for the bees. Cool, you are planting flowers to ensure the bees get a good bunch of honey to get them through the winter. It will look beautiful too. As the restaurants start opening up, maybe you can offer bouquets for them. So cool to see you doing this together. Ya, I think the Honda motors are better on the small garden power tools. Our pressure washer was a Briggs and Stratton and it pumped all its oil out onto the air cleaner and seized! Sears wouldn't back it up and wanted us to pay for another one . Nope. I hope you are still planting your apothecary garden. Nice Vlog. Thanks! I like the song!

Lacey, I love watching the two of you together. Now me, I've given way to others so much of my life that with the garden Micah and I are building, it's going to be the way *I* envision it and anyone wanting to help needs to do things the way I want instead of changing it around. lol Of course, I spend a lot of time asking God how I should be doing the beds, and they have a particular spiritual significance for me. But they would probably drive Mike nuts.

I have loved nature since I was child. I was very hands on way back then. Today I am more of an observer than a physical admirer of nature. I love the bees as long as they don't get too close. We have one every year that just comes near and just hover in one spot. I love this video and looks like you all love married and family life as much as we do.
