Freedom Of Speech - I hope you’re doing well? (I’d love to hear... I’m having abdominal entry low back fusion on Thursday 10/8 & am scared too. Well, I vacillate between “I got this” to “[expletive][expletive] what have I done! What am I doing!?” But it helps to just say it - and hear from honest folks who’ve been through it all, like Big Poppa Port. 🙏

Keep moving. You’re an inspiration. My L4/5 is herniated and my l5/s1 is bulging. I try to push through the leg and groin pain, but it’s miserable

Big Poppa Port Thanks, I stretch like crazy, and still hike big miles. Sometimes the pain is minimal. I don’t sit around the couch and mope, but the pain angers me. I’m looking at a discectomy, if not fusion in my future. Thanks for your service, prior service Army here

Hi patty hope you are fine and still active on KZbin. I really wanna know that how you hurt your back???? How long you have been in pain?? And what's the location of your injury??
@rqueenviv4 жыл бұрын
@@makeupbykhani8178 I’ve had the pain for many years-like 40 lol. Overtime & abuse of my back the disks became worse. I had severe back pain as well as sciatica in both legs. My fusion was L3,L4,L5 to SI joint into my pelvic bones. I’m almost 4 months out-I do not have the pain like I had before just some numbness in my right lower calf to ankle, heel & toes but it is getting better everyday. I’m active just careful in what I do. I still don’t bend, lift anything heavy & try to do little twisting. Last doc appointment I was told I’m well above the curve. Honestly it’s not all been fun, but if surgery can be good this was the best I’ve had

I had L5-S1 anterior fusion 9 weeks ago and I deeply regret it. Surgery technically went well but I am in anguish with pain, muscle spasms, multiple ER visits for excruciating pain and I can’t even stand to ride in a car. I had a Spondylolisthesis that was not hurting me until I was assaulted a year ago. I was active in sports and no pain then I had numbness and chronic middle grade pain worsening after I assaulted. This surgery made my pain and disability many times worse. I am really low and fear life is debility. I underestimated the invasive nature of surgery. Being pain free and able living a normal life seems far away. Thanks for your positive videos.

I am sorry and hang in there. My doctor told me that the nerve regeneration will take time. I was told a nerve grows about 1mm per day. good luck to you and hope you feel better.

Glad to here all is good. My question has to do with your pain. Is the pain you’re experiencing now located in your back or is it the before surgery pain where it was in your leg and you wanted to cut your leg off?
@WilliamPort-HN2R4 жыл бұрын
When I get pain it’s in my foot or outside my right leg. Even when it hits me it seldom lasts more than an hour.

I had a surgery about a year ago. I did great at first but then about a month later everything started going downhill pain in the extreme. There isn't a day where I don't hurt anymore what did you do if you had these issues?
