Jennings is one of those guys who blocks hard on every play, who doesn't get a whole lot of attention or credit, and makes big third down catches when you need it the most. He's been doing that for years and is everything I love about the Niners: hard nosed, hard working, and completely unselfish. He does his job and he does what the team needs him to do to win. Seeing him get a bit of his due in this game was nice, and Purdy is so good at finding the open guy that I wouldn't be surprised to see him get more big catches down the line.

I grew up with the 49ers in the 80s. I appreciate how you're liking the offense. On the defense, Bosa mentioned that they were more in containment mode vs going for immediate pressure and Hurtz running past. And even during the JimmyG era, #15 got the nickname "3rd and Juan". He's been clutch there since defenses have tried covering everyone else.

In the bay area they call Jennings "3rd and Jauan" because he gets so many of those 3rd down conversions when the defense focuses on everyone else. They played an interesting defense on Hurts, trying to force him to be a real QB who has to read the defense, go through progressions and find the open guy, and he couldn't for the most part.

Im sure someone's already pointed this out... but about Jalen having so much time; the Niners D line was trying to keep him in the pocket. From what i understand they went for slowly constricting the pocket rather than all out rushing the passer which can leave gaps for Jalen to maul the defense with his legs. And this was the most impressive part of the game to me, because everyone knew Philly had a sloppy defense. I wasnt sure the D could contain hurts but they did a hell of a job

Niners blocking schemes up front are straight up filthy. The O-line gets the least love on tr Niners, but you have to have a special group of guys to be able to pull off the shit they regularly pull off. They’ll get their center off the ball so damn quick pulled to pick up the right tackle-already engaged damn near by the time Brock is just getting his hands on the shotgun snap, that’s a Hell of a athlete on that o line. They’re the most under rated o line in the NFL.
