The decision making is so fast in the NFL. It blows my mind. I love this stuff. Fangio's defense is so fun to watch. Jalen is an absolute BULLY out there... and I am HERE for it. I know he gets a lil wild at times, but he wants all the smoke; and I support that. Love this team. Love my birds. Fell in love with the Eagles as a teenager watching Brian Dawkins, Michael Lewis, Lito Sheppard, and Sheldon Brown dominating in the secondary.

#TapeDontLie Brotha, I had to subscribe. You're doing some serious work breaking down film, highlighting the minor details and explaining it so well that new fans of the game can understand it. Much respect. I wasn't a fan of Fangio at the beginning because I thought he would end up with similar results as our previous coordinators, but after our Bye Week? I got humbled. This man got our defense focused and on the right track. You can tell the players have bought in and adopted his personality/attitude. He's starting to remind me of the legend (RIP) Jim Johnson who was our defensive coordinator during the Andy Reid era in Philly. Fangio means business.

Yeah that second down play was genius. Sweat picking up the TE instead of blitzing. Dean blitzing had Russ thinking Baun couldn't cover that field in time. WOW. On top of that if you noticed, Mitchell and the other defenders were only paying HALF the attention to their man. The other half of their attention was on the running back when the ball was thrown to him. Had they only been paying attention to their assignment they wouldn't of seen Baun struggling witht that tackle and they were RIGHT ON IT

I could be wrong and hopefully someone can point it out with tape but Jordan Davis just isnt a rusher. He looks slow and lazy out there. He looks like he does little fighting out there.

Jordan is out there to shut down a running lane or two. He's not a rusher. He's a run stopper.

@@2o4tom - please point out a play he made that is the stuff that no ordinary DT would make, after all he was a first round pick. And compare to Carter who is making plays even when double teamed, and those plays don’t show up as a stat for him.

@@stevebabiak6997 Just because he's not Carter doesn't make him a bust. He draws attention and blocks lanes on the run and allows the linebackers to make plays. I didn't say he's the best lineman in the NFC. I said he's an important and underrated part of the Eagles run D.

@@2o4tom - Carter was supposed to be #1 overall, and Davis wasn’t going that high in his draft, so I agree that comparing them isn’t quite fair. But I asked you to point out one play from the Steelers game where Davis made an impact that a first round choice might make. Milton Williams gets more snaps, even though he was drafted in a later round, because he is making more plays that Davis.

That 2nd play with the Nickel package, N. Smith was huge as well. His hustle helped in stopping them short and the team rallying to the ball. That play shows Fangio's trust in Baun's athleticism. To ask him to sprint over to cover a RB on the opposite side of the field is ridiculous. I know my fellow Eagles fans hate it but Sweat dropping out in coverage helps confuse the line to allow Moro Ojomo almost run free on a four man rush. Diabolical!
