Mind the only place there is galamsey in Ashanti is Manso area and has cautioned the chiefs in that territories. He has partnered with forestry commission to fight galamsey. Recently they visited him at Manhyia and he emphasised the role they have to fight galamsey. Also Otumfour is not a social media chief. Let build the premise for this statement Otumfour is a King over 12 million Asantes combining natives of Ashanti, Ahafo and other Asante states in other regions. Making it almost half of Ghana's population. Politics in Ghana is a game of numbers and since most Asantes are affiliated to NPP, NDC always have a problem with Asantes. When Mahama danced with Otumfour in Manhyia with Yentie obiaa when he was in power, did you see NPP coming out to attack Asantehene. No NDC especially the bloggers think insults will make Asantes lose interest in NPP but it is very false. Don't attack someone and think the person will succumb you to. Politics is about convincing people to buy into your ideologies and not attack them with abusive and unjustified words and comments. Hmmm interesting indeed, i can hardly say that most of the pndc/ndc party members are tribalistic people. JJ Rawlings regretted himself before his death. Because JJ Rawlings later found out that he had been used to killed General Achempong and Afrifa here are the main reasons. After the 1966 coup Afrifa was in Tamale and he was invited to join the NLC 2 days after the coup because those who did the 1966 coup found out that if they did not bring in an Akan person the rest of Ghanaians would know their agenda. Those who overthrow Dr Kwame Nkrumah were kotoka, Deku, Harlley, general Ankrah, Nunoo, Ocran, Yakubu and 2 days after they invited Afrifa. The same way after the 1979 coup Captain Boakye Gyan who was born in Jaman which is close to Dormaa wrote 200 names and all the names were Ashantis in the military and he asked JJ Rawlings to kill them all but JJ Rawlings was confused because he later found out that it's a pure tribal prejudice. So Boakye Gyan continue to perceive JJ Rawlings to killed General Achempong and Afrifa.this would show you that Boakye Gyan who is from Jaman and Dormaa was in the military with deep hatred against the Ashantis due to their forefathers war with the Ashantis in the 1780 their behaviour still goes back to their forefathers lost war against the Ashantis. So many Jaman and Dormaa natives hate the Ashantis.
