im a starlight and i know vixx isnt a super huge respected group like shinhwa yet (i love shinhwa ok) but i feel like they really changed kpop in a way with Voodoo Doll. the dance, the vocals, the presence all the members have on stage. i know vixx is a group with huge potential to make it big in the future.

볼수록 저주인형 심의에 걸린거 아쉬워 디지겠음 안무디테일 미쳤는데 처음 속박 투성이의 안무였다가 자기들 피 받치면서 점점 자유로워지다가 죽어가는 것부터가 변태같은데 저 막대기가 찐이였다구 ㅍ퓨퓨 막대가 심장을 찌를 때는 (발)움직임이 자유롭지 못하다가 저 막대를 빼야만 움직일 수 있다는 것 자체가 완전 저주인형이고 ㅠㅠ (저주인형 찌르면 그 상대가 찌른 부위의 아픔을 느끼니까) 심장을 받친다는게 완전 고어틱한 헌신적 집착이고 ㅠㅠ 홍빈?이 땅에 막대 박고 일어날 때 뽑힌 막대 뽑듯 땅에 손 대고 뽑는것도 지렸고ㅠㅠ 몸에서 막대 뺄 때는 멤버들이 몸을 튕겨서 피가 흩뿌리듯 보이게 하고 ㅠㅠ 그치만 랩파트가 찐 ㅠㅠ 자신의 손목 허벅지 다 찔러가며 피를 받치고 마지막 심장까지 받친다는게 ㅠ 너무 헌신집착 ㅠㅠ

OKAY time to appreciate this work of art. 0:15 The way they stand up using each other's backs for normal force is just a genius choreography step. 0:20 Flying Ken. Iconic. 0:21 - 0:28 Can we appreciate how well the idea of being controlled as a doll is conveyed here? It's called art. 0:26 Ken trying to jerk free is one of the most visually satisfying steps for me. 0:31 Hyuk's graceful motion disguises how physically demanding that quick jump must have been while maintain that poise. 0:32 Hongbin is leaning out from behind Leo's back while Ravi holds his weight. I like the choreographer. 0:37 The formation in which they "stagger" out to end in a line is counterintuitive and hence very satisfying. ("V" to a triangle to a line) 0:49 Hongbin's acting. 0:54 I like how in VIXX choreographies, the members halt to give the current singer the spotlight and yet no part of the choreography looks dead and it is still action packed. (Scentist) 1:01 Don't get me started on how much I love the stabbing. What adds to the beauty of the scene is that when Ken is standing, the members on his side are up, while when N dramatically gets up from bowing, the members on N's side shoot up. 1:09 I LOVE the chorus dance. Simple yet so strong. Dangly doll arm idea: 10/10. 1:25 Again, when they lie down, they do not go with an expected circle and that makes this attractive. 1:35 The members quickly moving behind Hongbin when he walks right through them is one of the most beautiful sequences I have seen. The speed coupled with that angry walk and dangerous expressions make this part scary which is another on point conversion of the intended emotion into dance. Art. 1:40 I appreciate that while N is given his spotlight, the members offer a pretty pose in the centre instead of being immobilised in the sides. 1:43 I adore the staggering step. 1:47 Leo's spotlight. Perfectly dramatic to match the emotion. 2:05 N pulls out the staff from Ken's heart (figuratively) and all members lurch forward as if they share the wound. Beautiful. 2:28 - 2:41 One moment the moves are overwhelmingly strong and go really well with the heavy beat and then the next moment they ease down to follow the gentle vocalisation. The contrast here grips me. The members' perfect gazes add life to the powerful choreography. 2:57 Ravi stabs himself and the members limp towards him as if dazed. This here is not just some dance but a beautiful story telling. + Look at Hongbin. 3:07 Throughout the video, the members (especially Leo) are being mindful of adding little jerks to act like a puppet and that is commendable. 3:13 - 3:19 The only thing I dislike about this is that we are denied the chorus dance right at the climax. 3:19 After slight torment the beloved dance is back, powerful as ever. Perfection.

rewatching this dance practice i really appreciate the amount of effort and detail each member puts into their dance moves. the way they move around like literal dolls, the passing of the staff, getting 'hurt', everything about this concept is so magical and dark. even the 'weaker' members in dancing do their part so amazingly well.

I like that groups put out these practice videos, because there are so many little nuances you miss when watching them on music shows. The camera angles are more about zooming in on the face of the person singing than the choreo.

I knew who VIXX was, but never found the interest to look at their MVs before... What was I thinking? Honestly I can say (and I'm not sure how you guys might feel about this) Infinite and Vixx are the only two groups were no one out shines the rest with his/her dance skills. Since I became a kpop fan I've noticed, that for the most part, there's always that one members that out shines the other while performing. You just can't help but to be mesmerized by his/her dance skills. I don't see that with Vixx, I think they are all equally talented, which is odd really. It just not very common on kpop groups.

This is SOOOO late, but I'm pretty sure it's because N took ballet, which is the foundation of all dance, and learning ballet seriously makes your movements more fluid and put together.

HAHA anyone notice that in the first part Ken doesn't poke the stick at N (1.03)in live performances anymore? and also when N stabs Ken at at 2.04 he also uses the stick in this practice BUT in live performances he uses his hand to "stab". WHY DID THEY CHANGE IT ?!! is it because they are afraid they'll really poke each other one day ? Vixx's performances are always outstanding. They just destroyed anyone who says KPop artists can't dance. I've seen many many dancers, and Vixx could beat a lot of them. There expressions were dead on, they were perfectly in sync, there timing was right, hell they used the prop better than I've seen some professionals use them. I know they have had a lot of practice, but still. Phenomenal!

I don't care what anybody says but throwing Ken over Ravi like that is one of the greatest beginning's in K-Pop choreography. So amazing! More people should really stan VIXX, they are amazing! Proud Starlight :D

I love how you can tell that Hyuk loves to dance and convey feelings by moving his body! He uses a little bit too much force in many moves but in my opinion that shows his love for what he's doing it just makes me enjoy it even more! It also reminds me of that one time when I saw them live and Hyuk wasn't able to stay still during the slower songs, but was daincing along while the other just stood there and sang. I love his energy!

Just like with Hyde, they were able to capture their concept of voodoo dolls in their choreo without it just being a style concept. Just seeing each of the little details played out without some rapid camera movements or quick closeups capture the feelings of the whole dance perfectly: being possessed and lifeless, but DID YOU SEE HOW LIFELESS YET PASSIONATE THEIR MOVES WERE?! Even Hyuk who had 1 line in the song was able to bring it with this peformance! Seriously, with VIXX, there's no one member that gets over-shadowed. All of them together create such a beautiful masterpiece of a performance and I want to congratulate them for working so freakin' hard and to their choreographer who made this concept, PLEASE, AWARD YOURSELF SOME EXPENSIVE KALBI or something, you deserve it. And to the hyungs/noonas who helped with the look *thumbs up* thank you T_T Everyone, the VIXX team (members, choreographers, stylists/makeup artists, managers, PR, Jellyfish Ent. Pres., starlights), seriously, GROUP HUG.

Hahaha funny thought popped into my head. They are fighting over the microphone. Fight begins at 2:05 when N rips it out of Ken and walks around like I won bitches! Then Ravi snatches it and says bitch please! Then he stabs himself and Ken is like GIVE IT BACK I AM COMING FOR THE MIC STAY RIGHT THERE!!! And then Leo beats him to it and is like da fuck I don't want this its covered in blood and passes it onto Hongbin who says I WIN MOFO's and then Ken cry's and Leo beats them all up....don't know where the last part came from hehehe

Voodoo Doll has been my jam since it's been out, I just keep listening to it too. VIXX whole album just BANGS man, I like each and every one of VIXX songs ever made to be honest. I love the choreography to Voodoo Doll so much. VIXX never fails. Never.
