I'd like to see a test with a Martin Wells Electrode Holder , says it's rated @ 400 amps

I really wouldn't be able to push a 400 amp holder very hard. I am a bit limited by my supply power here. I looked into getting a 400 amp stick welder recently, but it would pretty much require three-phase power or buying a large, engine driven machine. Not likely to happen any time soon, unfortunately. I have a quality, 250A electrode holder that I've run every bit as hard as the one in this video and it barely got warm. So a decent electrode holder can definitely hold up well to these amperages.
