It's funny to see everyone hating on the 47 like they did the 19x/45 when it 1st released. Saying it's impractical/ pointless etc. But now the 45/19x is loved and arguably the best Glock in some people's opinions. So maybe the 47 hate train will leave the station one day like it did for the 19x/45. To me it's just another Glock that I have to buy now, thanks a lot Gaston.

I think the 47 is the evolution of the 17. If you are in the market for a full size 9mm Glock, I would recommend the 47. Would I say it is so amazing I would replace the 19, 45, or even and older 17? Nah, but I really enjoy this pistol and look forward to making more videos for viewers like yourself.

@BigTimberLodge2 жыл бұрын
I think the 47 is the evolution of the 17. If you already have the 19 and if you buy the 47 you will essentially have 4 different guns. The 47 shot very well for me, as far as accuracy and the trigger feel. To be honest though I don't know how much better it is going to be than your 19MOS. I have another video where I show the accuracy of the 47 with 5 different types of ammo.

I mean it's cool and all but what I would really like to see is a glock 26x. I know the G26 purists would say a longer handle defeats the purpose, harder to conceal etc but I never had trouble concealing a g19 and the slide on the 26 is shorter and for me having a full size grip with the g26 slide would be perfect. I know I can't possibly be the only one that would want a g26 especially since my whole platform is double stack. I currently shoot the g26 with xgrips and with the "hump" on the g26 frame and the xgrips on a g19mag on it, the 26 shoots and feels better to me even moreso than the g19.

I'm considering a 47, but I'm wondering if the 47 won't end up being a "lesser" version of the 17. In other words, will it not shoot as well and accurate as a 17 with the shorter/stiffer recoil spring? I don't know that this will be the case but it's my only hesitancy in purchasing a 47. I'd rather have a 17 MOS but they don't seem to be available for some reason.

If possible can you explain how this 47 is better than the 17? What are the benefits if any does the 47 actually have over the 17. Thank you for posting this video very informative and thanks for sharing!!!
@BigTimberLodge2 жыл бұрын
The only way I could say that the 47 is better than a Gen 5 17 MOS, is the fact that if you own a 19 you can swap out parts and have 4 guns instead of 2. The only real difference is going to be the recoil spring is shorter in the 47 than the 17. I don't have the equipment to test my theory, but I would think this would cause the 47 to be snappier with more felt recoil but have a faster fire rate.

At this time I am trying to buy a g17 MOS gen5. There aren't any at all to be found. I think Glock is now only offering the 47. This pistol would only be worth it if I also had a G19 which I don't. I really don't like the way that g17 slide looks on top of the small frame. I believe it weighs more than the G17 also. Must be a heavier slide. Don't know what I will get for my new 9mm. G17 MOS gen5 is what I really wanted. Glock seems to be pushing the 47 over G17 MOS as far as availability.

They stopped doing that when inflation started effecting the supply chain, Glock has said that instead of raising the price per firearm, they would cut cost by only giving you the two with beaver tail since they are the most popular, and normally the other two just sit in the box, then inflation continued to get worse so they took away the plates, they can be purchased online and the pistol stays the same price and most people are fine with that. I wish Glock would stop putting serial numbers in the side and barrels. Kills the idea of modularity. The real modularity is what SIG has done with the P320 and P365. SIG has been able to swap grips and slides since the beginning of the design.

I understand that. It took me awhile to get used to shortened recoil rod/spring on the 47, but so far it has worked very well for me. I have shot the 17 and the 47, very tough to tell a difference between the two when shooting. However, the 47 is modular and can use other Glock pistol parts, whereas the 17 can't. To be honest though I have not tried out the modularity so the usefulness of that has not impacted my life, but having options is good.

@BigTimberLodge2 жыл бұрын
Probably because this is new technology for Glock owners, and we're not 100% familiar with modular pistols. Also, I wasn't chubby when I bought the 43X, and I didn't get slide bite. Now that I'm bigger, I have a fatter hand and I get slide bite. Thanks for watching and leaving a comment.

Hope it works well for you. As far as Glocks go, I always shot the Glock 26 better than the full size and compacts. I've shot the Glock 21 gen 3 and Glock 26 gen 3 last year. I've also shot the glock 22 and glock 19 or 17 when I was younger and the Glock 26 shot the best groups for me. My favorite platform is the 1911 but Glock is a good handgun.
