Expressing his displeasure over the new order from the education department, teacher Lakhan Kumar told *Local 18*, "Jeans are a simple and durable option for us. They are affordable and can last for two to three days after a single wash. If the government wants us to wear better clothes, then we should be given an allowance for it." He sarcastically added, "If we can’t wear jeans, should we come to school wearing lungis?"

शिक्षा विभाग के इस नए आदेश पर शिक्षक लखन कुमार ने लोकल 18 को अपनी नाराजगी जाहिर करते हुए कहा, "जींस हमारे लिए एक सरल और टिकाऊ विकल्प है. यह किफायती भी है और एक बार धो देने से दो तीन दिनों तक चल जाता है. अगर सरकार चाहती है कि हम बेहतर कपड़े पहनें, तो हमें इसके लिए भत्ता मिलना चाहिए." उन्होंने कटाक्ष करते हुए पूछा, "अगर जींस नहीं पहन सकते, तो क्या लूंगी पहनकर स्कूल आ जाएं?"
