this is an issue all over UP where I live, it costs a lot to take care of cows, NL themselves have covered gowshalas multiple times. Most of the people who have to take care of sickly cows don't speak out of fear

@@Moogli07 religious gaushalas don't exist IRL, not in these remote villages(where people still use cows) and most of the time they don't have proper facilities. The government mandated cowshed in a major city near my ancestral village flooded and atleast 5 cows died and several were ill; this happened in UP. I don't think the volume at which dairy farms use cattle is feasible for these religious folks to help the cows. It's far better to go vegan than make these animals suffer imo
