The Patna High Court has overturned the Bihar government's decision to raise the quota for backward classes to 65 percent. In its ruling, the court stated that this increase violated Articles 14, 15, and 16 of the Constitution and exceeded constitutional limits. The revised reservation scheme allocated 20 percent for Scheduled Castes, 2 percent for Scheduled Tribes, and 43 percent for Other Backward Classes and Extremely Backward Classes, reducing the open merit category to 35 percent.

@@priyan8004 Get your facts right, Mam. 1) Even today maximum govt posts are filled by so-called upper caste people. That's reality, everyone knows. Their population is miniscule, but are every where in top positions. This is not accidental. Historically, others were denied, which carried on even today. Hence, reservation is breaking that wall. 2) I'm not a yadav or jaat (neither I conform myself to any caste. I would respect u to 1st read, what's Obc reservation. Obc reservation is for those who are "socially & educationally backward" (it has nothing to do with wealth, also there's creamy layer concept.) Yadavs or jata or any other OBC people get reservation only for this reason. Come to village & see how OBC,SC,ST live. U will understand, why reservation is needed. 3) Regarding your comment on efficiency: So, tell me before EWS, efficiency was so called compromised, people used to shout "merit, merit, merit". Now after EWS, whole lecture of "efficiency & merit" just got disappeared. I'll tell u why, because those who used to shou earlier, now they got EWS...so they don't talk... about it now, otherwise their hypocrisy will be exposed 😂. Earlier breaching 50% reservation limit was considered crime, Then how 50% got breached for EWS. Ispe v bolo. 4) So, instead of just showing your bias, we as a society need to discuss why reservation (affirmative action) is given. & Make a society worth living. For that u need to visit deprived regions of India, it's villages from every community. So, if u had ever used your brain, read about affirmative action, it's history, social discrimination, social backwardness, then aapko ye comment hi ni krni parti. Dhanywaad 🙏

To show to those people, who in the name of religion, caste divide themselves, do casteism (favour own caste people, everywhere.
