In pune when we visit the old Palace the guide will show us the place from where Shivaji Maharaj met and killed Afzal Khan. Adya Ramacharrya, the great novelist and historian in his novel has mentioned about this incident and staat(60 and not 7) graves of Afzal Khan's harem janana ladies.

Afzal Khan had 64 wifes. He killed 60 and buried them here near Bijapur. Remaining 4 run away. He chased remaining 4 and finally killed them also. Except these burial place and local people telling what they learned from their previous generations, he or his successor made sure this is not recorded or records removed from Mogul history. This is pretty same in Capitol city Delhi. Vishnu Stambh became "Kutub Minar", you can see carvings of Lotus and Indian dancers on this structure even today. Nearby temples converted to Mosque. Taj Mahal is built on Shiva temple. A door towards Yamuna river in one side was showing the temple structure below Taj Mahal. British made documentary on this it is available on U-tube. In 70s "some one" gave orders and closed down this door. Same story every where- persecution of non Muslims, destroy temples and try to erase records of atrocities. Paint nice picture of Moguls.
