It's Tomb Raider (2013 video game) and it's the third reboot of the series (and the first in the third era of Tomb Raider) which rewites Lara's origins into contemporary settings. The plot of the story takes place on an island called Yamatai.

The first Tomb Raider game was made in 1996. The newest one is Tomb Raider 2013 which puts Lara in a contemporary setting on a research ship named the Endurance and on an island known as Yamatai. Lara fights men who are part of a malevolent cult and a Sun Queen, Himiko, who once ruled Yamatai.

There's Tomb Raider 2013 which is the latest Lara Croft game if you need to know. It's the latest Tomb Raider game in the series and the first in the third era continuity. The only thing though is that Lara's origins have been rewritten to contemporary times.

It's Tomb Raider 2013. Lara's younger because they put her in a contemporary setting with new characters on board a research ship known as the Endurance which was shipwrecked off Dragon's Island.

It's not called Tomb Raider: Shipwrecked. It's Tomb Raider 2013 and it's the latest in the Tomb Raider series but it's also the first in the game series' third era and it's the first in a reboot which takes place in a contemporary setting.

No. If you look at the Tomb Raider franchise, Lara Croft and the Guardian of Light is one of three spin-off Tomb Raider games. That means that it's not part of the main series of the game at all. Therefore, following TB: Legend, TB: Anniversary, and Underworld, Tomb Raider (2013 video game) is the first of a second reboot and the first of the third era which puts Lara in a contemporary setting onboard the Endurance and an island, Yamatai. She fights a malevolent cult and a Sun Queen, Himiko.

@dancedance2795 there is a new one coming out next year at fall. its called Tomb Raider: Turning point. it's about laura and she just came out of college. she's younger in this game, and it shows how everything started. u should check it out if u haven't yet :)

Oh and following the release of Tomb Raider: Underworld, Crystal Dynamics split into two teams -- one to work on the NEXT sequencial pillar of the Tomb Raider franchise while the second was working on the next spin-off, Lara Croft and the Guardian of Light. Therefore, Tomb Raider (2013) is the newest Tomb Raider game.
