Bijzonder heiligdom opgegraven in Tiel

Op het industrieterrein Medel ontdekten archeologen een groot heiligdom van 4000 jaar oud die in het teken stond van de zon. Het heiligdom bestond uit meerdere aarden heuvels. Het heiligdom moet een belangrijke plek zijn geweest. Mensen hielden er bijzondere dagen in het jaar bij, voerden er rituelen uit en begroeven er hun doden. Het heiligdom is 800 jaar in gebruik geweest.

And the largest mound was a solar calendar. 0:41 The latter was twenty meters in diameter and contained sixty people. 0:47 In its circumference was a ditch with multiple openings. 0:51 The archeologists found that the openings were part of a solar calendar. 0:55 On the longest and shortest days of the year, the sun shone through them. 0:59 People (supposedly) used them to determine holidays and harvest days. 1:06 The sunrays, through the openings, pointed towards other important places in the landscape. 1:14 This probably had rItuAl siGniFicanCe. 1:16 As they pointed toward a large farm, a sacrificial site and another burial mound. The artifact is a glass bead found in another burial site nearby. They discovered that one mound on the holy site is a sun calendar, and by tracking the paths of sunbeams they found an ancient farm, places of sacrifice, and the burial site where the bead was found. It’s the oldest known artifact of its kind in the Netherlands.

Wat een domme reactie weer terwijl dit gewoon een stukje Nederlandse erfgoed en geschiedenis is. Je ziet nergens verwijzingen naar UFO's in deze korte uitleg. Maar andere domme dingen moeten we maar wel nieuw en normaal vinden.
