The 25th anniversary of RK Films was celebrated here.[9] There was a makeshift museum (once Nargis’s dressing room) was a treasure trove which was lost in the fire.[10] It included posters from Barsaat, Awaara, Aag, Mera Naam Joker and Bobby. It also had a large black umbrella that protected the couple from the studio rain in the song "Pyar Hua, ikrar hua" in Shree 420, Nargis’s long black dress from Awaara, Vyjanthimala’s saris from Sangam, Dimple Kapadia’s funky frocks from Bobby, Padmini’s saris from Jis Desh Mein Ganga Behti Hai and even some of the hats Raj Kapoor wore in his films. Fans and general public who loved Raj Kapoor are very sad that his jobless sons are going to sell RK studio to meet their (son's) expenditure. ऐसा मैंने भी पढ़ा है। पृथ्वी राज कपूर कोल्हापुर में भालजी पेंढारकर की एक फ़िल्म में काम करते थे । जो की भालजी पेंढरकर के निर्देशन में थी। उस टाइम भालजी पेंढारकर मराठी और हिंदी फ़िल्म इंडस्ट्री में जाना माना नाम थे। तभी पृथ्वीराज कपूर ने भालजी को बता दिया था ये मेरा लड़का राज कपूर ईथर उधर घूमता रहता है पूरा दिन उसको एक छोटा मोटा काम दीजिये आपके फिल्मे। तभी उसी टाइम राजकपूर को फर्स्ट ब्रेक भालाजी पेंढारकर ने दिया था। जो की उस फ़िल्म के हीरो नहीं थे। हीरो वो "नीलकमल " ( १९४७ ) सिनेमा में बन गए। लेकिन फ़िल्म करियर का पहिला ब्रेक उन्हें भालजी पेंढारकर ने दिया था ऐसा पढ़ा हे. इसलिए ये बात भी अचरच की है इतने कम उम्रमे ( २४ एज ) और इतने कुछ खास पॉपुलर न होते हुवे राज कपूर इतना बड़ा प्लॉट जो की लगभग दो एकर का है वो कैसे खरीद पाए। वो शायद आप जैसे बोल रहे है उनको गिफ्ट के तौर पर मिला होगा क्योकि भालजी पेंढारकर के साथ पृथ्वी राज कपूर का फैमिली रिलेशन था

Raj Kapoor had made money by showing the naked and semi-naked bodies of women. He was a person of loose character and morals. His films encouraged obscenity and vulgarity. He considered women as a subject of consumption and once infamously claimed ‘give me a girl with big boobs and I would make her an actress.’ Little wonder, in most of his films the girls wore either low cut blouses showing maximum cleavage or transparent dresses.Not only that, his movies had an extended bathsequence of the heroine right from the days of Sangam (1964) which is considered as one of the first Hindi movies to have an actress in swimming costume. Many a times the music became popular on the strength of double meaningful lyrics like Main Baharon Ki Rani (which was initially written as Main Bazaron Ki Rani),Buddha Mil Gaya, Ang Lag Ja Balma, Hum Tum Ek Kamre Mein Band Hon, Beshak Mandir Masjid Todo. ’Ghar Aaya Mera Pardesi’ was one of the first plagiarized songs of Hindi cinema. The repeated melody in the background score of his movies like Barsaat, Jis Des Mein Ganga Behti Hai, Sangam, Mera Naam Joker, Bobby, Biwi O Biwi was a direct lift of famous waltz ‘Waves of the Danube’ compsed by Romanan Josef Ivanovici in 1880. The song Yashomati Maiyya Se Bole Nandlala was no exception. He stooped to the level of showing the posterior of his own adult son Rishi Kapoor In Bobby(1973). As they say, as you sow so shall you reap. Little wonder, the studio and the banner created out of money made by flesh trade went to the ashes literally. There is an older film banner founded in 1947 by late Shri Tarachand Barjatya named as Rajshri Films. It is still running, with his grandson Sooraj Rajkumar Barjatya’s latest movie ‘Prem Ratan Dhan Payo’ being declared a blockbuster.
