Beautifully made video. Probably one of the best constructed and narrated MTB videos I’ve watched......and I’ve seen a lot! Ive not been to bike park wales mainly because the videos I’ve seen made me think its not my thing. After watching this video I realise it’s probably exactly what I’m looking for from a bike park.

Thanks. I'm really please you enjoyed it. I can definitely recommend a trip. Everyone I met was super friendly and there were riders of all abilities, too. In fact, I think BPW is currently preparing to open a new green grade trail. Regardless, there's something there for everyone and not having to pedal uphill is a huge plus.

@@MeantforDescentBecause of the professional way you put your videos together I would trust your reviews of other bike parks Even better would be a scoring or ranking of each park. No -one does this yet - a scoring system would help us keen amateurs choose where to spend to spend our hard earned dosh! We can only visit one or two parks per season so having more trusted data on each venue would be helpful in deciding where to go. By contrast, I love Sam Pilgrims reviews - but I can't trust his reviews because his riding skills are on a different planet to mine! Most of us Amateurs prefer to trust the judgement of others at equivalent skill level.

I know what you mean. Skills with Phil started ranking US parks, but I don't think that lasted long, and he's a crazy good rider. I'm sure a lot of it would be subjective, too, like climbing grades are.

Me too, I went to Wales on a biking holiday few years ago but we never went to the bike park because all the videos looked to wild for me. I didn't know it had so many blue and red trails I know I could ride , even if I didn't do the jumps.

No problem. The uplift is definitely worth it. There is a trail to the top, called Beast of Burden, but I haven't ridden it. The bus takes about 10 minutes, though. With regards to the trails, they're dotted all over the place. Unfortunately, you can't download a trail map, but there's one on the BPW website at www.bikeparkwales.com/mountain-bike-trails-wales

Thanks mate. The uplift is fully booked until 29th Nov so the only way I can ride is without it. Are the blue trails easily accessible without the lift? I'm new to this and not the fittest 😂

I'd have to say no, not really. I'd book the 29th and make the most of the day, or get an ebike. ;)

Great upload and V funny commentary, i like to keep my wheels on the ground nowadays, used to ride Coed Y Brenin when it was the only place to go.
