How does he make the camera motion while running with the camera so smooth? Is it the mount? I'm sure I'll learn this stuff in future studies, but does anyone know?

I'm not any special film maker myself but I think the fact he has a pole, holds the camera upside down sometimes, and the way he runs helps. I also know some cameras stabilize the picture. I only know one that does it but again I don't know a lot about that stuff.

He is using a stabilizer. It balances the camera and removes all of the shake. I have one, but its not as fancy as the glidecam. The concept is the same though.

Gallego Productions Yeah I didn't know what it was until after I commented and never felt like editing it. But yup it is a glidecam which cost a lot of money and uses weights and I think a gimbal to keep your camera super smooth.

This might sound strange, but it made me so happy to see them wipe-out. Why? No, I don't enjoy seeing people fall and get hurt. I just started learning to roller skate--and I'm 40! Many people don't think I'll be able to do it. I do fall down, a LOT. But these amazing bikers show that even professionals fall from time to time. But they just get back up & keep going! So that's what I'm going to do too.

Am I looking at that correctly or do you have it right side up but at a low angle when you have the whole GC upside down? I guess the ultimate question is how did you set that up! LOL! You should look into getting a steadicam with the vest. All of your shots look good especially the landscape scenes in some of your other videos, but I'd like to see more of a variety instead of steadicam 95% of the time. Good stuff though!

Devin can you post a really detailed explanation on how your Steadicam technique is so freaking good and how you balance it and everything. I know it's mostly practice, but good lord your shots are so smooth!!!

I always do a dry run of the intended shot, and follow it by doing as many recorded shots until you get it right, then maybe use stabilize effect in Adobe PP or Vegas. But..... if your stabiliser isn't set up correctly it just happen!

Why you didn't use for first person shots the camera SONY ACTION CAM HDR-AS30? It is best than GoPro I think. Maybe because it has a digital image stabilizer and It goes perfectly for all shoots. Thanks and sorry for my bad english. Amazing video and regards for everyone.
