Wanted to add; keep up the great work my friend, you have many silent fans out there. I was one who has watched you from the beginning but as I had no youtube account I never posted anything.

Great video thanks! I am about to do this on an old Schwinn with an American style bottom bracket. My conversion kit is a little different. It has four bolts instead of three and the two pieces are labeled "Left" and "Right" so there is no mistaking. Thanks again for the vid, I think the project will be pretty easy after watching you do this.

Yep, I wacked the living daylights out of it. There seems to be a .5 cm gap between the bike and adapter. III ain't going anywhere but it's not flush. Thanks for all your vids

A RED, a WHITE and a BLUE crank... It was then in the Spring of '14, at 1:10 when the BikeMan said a great and profound thing. More profound words could not have been forged, not even if King Soloman himself were in the Bike & Kite shop. You may ask "what words"? "Those colors don't run"! Red, White and Blue BABY!!! A+++++

Is there a part 2? I've been looking for something like this for ages. You rock!
@LAactor9 жыл бұрын
Is there a part deux? Is bit maybe put in the description there isn't. If there is link to it in the description. But the way the video ends like that we just don't know. And if there is then the titles need to be matching with the difference being part 1 or 2. Otherwise people will keep wondering if they missed something st the other end..

Hey Bikeman, thanks to you for inspiring me, I am starting to assemble a fixie out of a 65cm Fuji Royale frame I had laying around. I sure hate demolishing old road bikes, even low grade ones, but as it was just the frame anyway...I digress...I think I recall a previous video where you show the Origin8 crankset you sell in JUST silver. I do not see this one in your store, just the silver with the gray in the chainring. Can I get this crankset in just the silver?

I love your videos man. Just converted my Fuji 12 speed to a fixed gear and it's pretty sexy.

Hello BIKEMANFORU. i just installed this same conversion kit on a beach cruiser yesterday, when i screwed the three bolts into two halves together, i used red thread lock to keep the bolts from coming loose. Now, should i use red thread lock when i install the crank bolts?. thanks for the videos. have a fun filled day...

Bike Man- will this conversion kit work with any kind of outboard bearing bottom bracket that we're starting to see in newer cranksets? It seems to me that outboard bearing bb's would not fit inside flange of the converter. I've got my dad's 73 schwinn continental that I'm trying to rebuild with newer components and I'd like to know my options before I go out and buy something that won't fit. If these types do not fit and I have to used a sealed bb, what spindle length would you recommend?
