Welcome to the first official video on my channel. This is my 2021 Husqvarna 701 Supermoto. In this video I go over the modifications already done to the bike, brief specs, talk about my future plans with it and showcase pov ride footage with pure exhaust sound from the FMF 4.1 exhaust and titanium Tekmo header. Thank you I appreciate that a lot. I’m about five and half months into my motorcycle journey so still in the beginner stage I’d say. Not quite to the point where I can do crazy wheelies or ride the bike at its full potential. Sometimes it’s nice to just cruise and open the throttle every once in a while. Definitely want to be able to do the more intense riding as my skills improve, but I plan on doing the more relaxed riding as well.

How was it to learn with the 701? I’m not sure if I should start with the 701 or a DR-Z400 SM and upgrade once I’m confortable.

@@chhris1994 this is my second bike. I started on an mt07 and it was a perfect first bike for me. The 701 in my opinion is more bike and its much more capable than the mt. I think the 701 would be a good first bike for some people but not everyone. Best to do research and test ride one to find out if it’s right for you.

I been riding dirt for year's (well also haven't in years 😅) and want a Supermoto. Im also older now and and body wont like the beating from dirt. So torn between this or a KTM 890 SMT. Nice bike though.

Looks like NE WA, maybe Spokane area? Great video though, I have a KTM 690 Supermoto over in Yakima. EDIT: Hell yeah, doomsday hill, I know where you're at. Lived there for 4 years. Next time I drag the KTM over we'll have to go for a cruise.

what part number has your fmf?

I’m not entirely sure on the part number. It’s a custom setup since there isn’t one made for the 701SM, but here’s the link I found. www.fmfracing.com/products/factory-4-1-rct-045629

Thank you. I had a 2019 MT-07 before this and I feel like it was a significant jump to this bike even though they are similar in power. This bike just is way more raw and responsive. I think a big part of that was because I had never ridden a supermoto for more than a few minutes. It’s my second bike so I’d definitely say it’s worth the upgrade from the DRZ 400SM.

@noahlaughlin hell yeah. I saw the video on how you got it all black now. Looks sick. Im not a big fan of the current color scheme they have it on stock, but just the platform of the bike itself is like no other. I saw the new ducati mono and 950sp and adter that i went to look at the 701 and immediately fell inlove!

do you have any duel dongle/mapping done?

Fuel dongle was done by the previous owner so I can’t speak on how much it helps, but all the videos I’ve seen on it say that it makes a big enough difference that it’s worth doing. I haven’t had the bike remapped/ tuned yet.

Enjoyed the ride thanxalot! Missing a gear now an then is not a train smash happens to the best of us. FMF still has quite a bit of baffle i suppose to keep it legal?

Thank you and congrats that great news. Murdered out is the way to go. It is loud but that’s what I like. Tone of the exhaust is amazing. It sounds deep and crisp. I’m gonna make an exhaust video in the near future.

It’s the one that comes up on Amazon under “701SM Tail Tidy”. Unfortunately I can’t recommend this one because the lights don’t work half the time. There are other ones from more reputable brands that are similar to this if you search “701SM Tail Light” on google.

@@noahlaughlin I've seen people with the rottweiler tail tidy I think. That one looks alright but I can't remember offhand if it has turn signals built in

How does this feel compared to a 450?

I personally have never been on a 450 but I know they are lighter than a 701/690. From what I’ve been told 450 supermotos are fast and have lots of torque.
