When Triumph came out with the Scrambler 1200...I thought that was the best 'retro' bike as it wasnt a poser. Unfortunately I can not justify the price even with the new ergonomics which suit my short legs and tall frame perfectly. This however, has pushed me over the edge for not only Royal Enfield as a brand but for one of their bikes. One little niggle...would have been nice if the editor hadnt tied in clips of the bike in action when you were showcasing what was new about the bike e.g. the frame. Just a constructive criticism. Otherwise, thank you for showcasing what looks to be like an exciting, fun and hopefully purposeful bike.

Excellent presentation on an absolutely gorgeous looking motorcycle. You’ve got me tempted. Nevertheless, losing a few more Kg‘s would benefit the performance even more as would a few ponies in the 60 region. I still have my 1972 BSA 650 Lightning which is a lot lighter. Maybe it’s bringing the 650 Bear down to a price by using cheaper and thus heavier materials for the frame 🤔 Enjoy your 🍺 Best wishes from Düsseldorf Sher 😎

It depends what you want... I had a 650 Interceptor and was perfectly happy with the power, and my background is racing supersport, superbike and all sorts of fast bikes. Another 10-15ps would be good, but there are aftermarket systems and even big bore kits. But I guess the LAMS (learner) market is so huge that they had to cater for it.
