Love the artistic side of how the bikes look. Especially the Ducati. The paint, the gloss. However my favorite is the little big noise scrambler NX650 (9:52)

I got to visit a few years ago. It was a fantastic show and I wish I could be there this year. Travel from Oz is still a little difficult but i am planning to be there soon. My standout was a Guzzi with hand tooled aluminium fairings. The builder was brilliant to talk to and proudly showed the markings under the bike for cutting the panels. Good luck this year and I can't wait to see what you discover.

Glad the show is back, but I doubt I'll be able to make it down to London. Combination of poverty and bat virus means the Harley isn't on the road yet. Congrats to you and Vikki on BEMs, hopefully see you at the Shed some time!

If the last show was in 2019, then it's been more than two years since you did a show, not 'nearly two years'.

The biggest issues I have with the current custom trends are, firstly the very fact of those trends - the lack of true originality; ridiculous fat rear tyres on the front, the impracticability of no mudguards on what look like little more than tarted up field bikes, the still persisting Bermuda Triangles of lost opportunities (where imagination goes to cry) on those faux passé posers, and the wanton destruction of decent old bikes by misguided egos with hacksaw and 4.5” grinders convicted that the tail has to go, and the seat has to be uncomfortably thin and tûrd brown!! Then there’s all the apparently obligatory sycophancy that surrounds these mediocre offerings. Seriously, how can you maintain such artificially elevated levels of right-on glee for such a precession of predicable trend obsessed mediocrity? I saw maybe a dozen half decent ideas, reasonably well executed. The rest was bovine droppings rolled in glitter, from narrow minds convinced that copying somehow equates to “making a statement”! I started biking because my Dad rode Velocettes in his youth. My bike was my only transport. Now biking is a largely expensive lifestyle choice. And that’s the root of the problem. The apparently current trend of brown leather for instance, works on a 1969 MV, but only on classic period Italiana. Less is more. The fact that most people involved in the bike world today don’t know that, is proof of my point. Peace
