Exactly how I imagined this review to go. Come on ktm, change the cams and ecu to give us a different feeling engine, you already have two bikes that are top end monsters. It's a waste of a brand to have a 3rd. If ktm doesnt change soon they may loose a customer from me. I'm afraid if they get any bigger they will keep buying other brands and converting them to different colored ktm's and that's a scary thought to me.

@Mike Lyons I get there thinking but I guarantee you they would sell more if the bikes were more different. If someone wants a topend monster they can buy a ktm or husky already. It's not gaining them more sales just spreading it out over different sub brands. I'm a decent business person and I just do not agree with their logic. Obviously they are pretty smart as a whole, just look at what they have done but at this point I think they are ruining good brands.

@Mike Lyons it's a new bike and different of course they are gonna sell a ton right off the bat. Just like when new restaurants open everybody goes there to try it out then after a while it levels out to normal traffic and that's the true test whether its gonna succeed or not. I'm a 250f mx bike buyer , only reason I'm looking at the 2021 kx and yz are because the ktm husky and gas gas lack that low end power to get my out of tight turns. On flat hardpacked or loamy tracks I can ride the piss out of it and it's the most fun bike I've ever ridden but on certain tracks that have steep sandy hills and berms I prefer my yz250f and the 2021 250f shootouts also have ktm husky not in the top spots any longer so if they want to evolve I think they should make a small change to at least one of the 3 engines. Nothing huge just change the power curve a bit then you'd steal a few customers away from yamaha and even Kawasaki who looks like they might be the new horsepower king in the 250f game.

@Mike Lyons what do you want for the sport, less options? I dont get why you think this is a good thing. How about ktm buys beta and then we have a red and blue ktm. Now 4 identical bikes and one less option for us individuals. Key word being individual, not everyone wants the same thing.

Go to a Hare Scrambles or Enduro - Huskys are the RACE brand , KTM is the cheaper version, and GASGAS (and simpler) is the Cheapest to own. Husqvarna has better components than KTM or GASGAS. Kinda opposite from your commentary. Nothing Legacy about a Husqvarna - Just look at the price points.

95% of riders probably could feel the difference between forged and billet triple clamps anyways, so I don't know why the GASGAS's forged triple clamps has become such a talking point in theses reviews. Lastly, the new GASGAS MCs looks even more outdated than the Suzuki RM's looks. I'm not saying the GASGAS MCs look bad, they just look ten years old already.

Gas Gas did plenty to downgrade themselves over the years. I had a 2013. Aside from the motor, which was really good, my KTM kills in in almost every other category. Going bankrupt a couple times per decade didn't help either.

It's for the price point - still a good bike. Might not loose parts on the track like the original GASGAS
