Positano has spoiled me. This city looks hideous. I'm actually quite shocked. Seattle is in a beautiful part of the world. I really expected it to look different, better. The nature is great, but what the humans have done, the architecture, the layout, the overall ergonomics and look of the place, is just not nice. It's not inviting. Not like European cities. So unfortunate. But great work, and thanks for posting it.

Thanks for showing us your home town and sharing snippets of your life. It sounds like your life in Seattle was good. I really enjoyed this video particularly the tree lined streets with the trees in their fall colors, the waterside areas and the university grounds. My first knowledge of Seattle arose watching Frasier on TV and seeing the skyline at the start of the show with the Space Needle. At the end of the show Frasier says "Goodnight Seattle! Frasier has left the building" I still love the show with it's quirky humor no matter how many reruns I see. Seattle also came up in my reading of the Twilight series with Bella's visit to the city to shop for prom dresses and buy an Indian book. Safe travels to you and your family, Donna

Hi Donna, I never did watch Frasier. I've heard from a lot of people that it's good. I'll have to check it out. Seattle is a great city. We went there every other weekend almost when I was a kid. Towards the end, I was impressed that the bike was still going. I didn't know they had that kind of range! Anyway, my girlfriend and I visited her brother in Seattle about two years ago. It was one of those weeks where it was sunny every day, so I don't think I got the full Seattle experience. We took and underground city tour, and it was a lot of fun. The fire was a tragedy and all, but the way it was detailed sounded like a hilarious, Simpsons-esque cascade of bad decisions culminating into one of the world's biggest "lessons learned". Lastly, I'm not a Sounders fan, but you completely ignored them. I hope no one from the team sends you hate comments.

All of the above. I actually live on the east side of the state. But I have visited Seattle several times over the years. I’m waiting for all the work on the waterfront to get done and than I’m coming back over for an extended visit to see the new waterfront

Seattle has great weather from then end of May until the end of October. Washington is really beautiful. ...but now, it is dreary and dark. :) I'm glad I got the bike ride filmed when I did. I'll be posting up a Seattle walking tour in a couple weeks that I filmed in August. Glad you enjoyed this video and the captions. Seattle is my old stomping grounds.

What a cute and educational video on this beautiful city. I was amazed at how beautiful University of Washington is and how massive it is. Seattle is packed in history and is a place i would love to visit again in detail. Not sure what bike you were using but the battery life in that thing is amazing lol.

Hey Isaac! Been watching since the pandemic, when your videos helped keep me sane! I'm mostly interested in European content, but checked out this video since I lived in Seattle during college. Fun to find out you're a fellow Falcon (mid-90s for me)! I'd like to see some Canadian content and some general PacNW stuff as well. I have a vague recollection that you did a Vancouver video already. Maybe another one would do well since you've got an expanded audience now? Victoria? Would a Puget Sound ferry ride video get any views? Ferry up to Alaska? Leavenworth? San Juan Islands bike rides? Hwy 2/20 drive? Lake Chelan ferry/hike combined with a visit to Holden Village? Segment hike of the Pacific Crest Trail? Columbia River Gorge? I'd watch all of that. But maybe only because I'm already familiar with the area and am currently stuck in the midwest.

Hey, glad you're enjoying the walks. Yeah, I was thinking I'd film a new Vancouver walk this summer. I've wanted to film the ferry to Bremerton too but just haven't had a chance. Those are all good suggestions. Just need to wait for some better weather. I just flew out of SeaTac on Tuesday and am in Tokyo right now. A few of my cousins went to SPU in the mid90s as well, btw.

Back in the late 80's-early 90's. Seattle had the most amazing music scene in the world. I was lucky enough to be living there at the time. Saw Nirvana, Pearl Jam, and Soundgarden at the Ballard Firehouse (at various times..not all at once. Although that would have been EPIC)

I rode all over Seattle myself since I grew up by Dick's on 45th. I went to Latona/Hamilton/Lincoln. I was glued to the screen the whole time. Is it played real time, or sped up? I was afraid of crashing at the speed it seemed we were going but I thoroughly enjoyed it all!

I almost never wing it. I had this entire route planned out but I had to change it while I was riding because I was planning to walk through the Ballard Locks and start riding again on the other side to Fisherman's Terminal, but I could not walk my bike and film at the same time, so I rode down 15th and across the Ballard Bridge again. Everything else was preplanned.
