Bike, Tree, Stars, A Perfect Night.

I ride to the top of a hill in a very dark place to photograph an old dead tree, my bicycle and capture a 4K Timelapse video of the Milky Way in the background. Follow me on their Astrophotography Vlog and see what images I capture of the beautiful night sky.
The photographs were captured on the Nikon Z5 using either the Nikon 20mm f1.8g or 40mm f2 lens.
The Timelapse was captured using a Nikon Z50 and the Nikon 40mm f2.

Hi my name is Clive and I am from Portsmouth in the UK. Thank you for watching, I think the Z5 handles the noise really well in low light a few percent worse than the Z6 which is probably Nikons best in low light. I never add any noise reduction in post processing. I am fairly sure the Z5 is not iso invariant, I don’t know about the Z6. The only iso invariant camera I am aware of is the Sony a7 and I forget which model and mark. I Any camera on the market will produce some noise when doing Astrophotography, but I regularly shoot at iso6400 and 12800. part of the reason i light paint is because it helps reduce noise. Different people have different thresholds for noise acceptance. Don’t forget the importance of a good lens in reducing noise.
